Does not work with kodi 16.1 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Does not work with my current firefox/kodi combination (48.0.2 and 16.1). The server configuration page does not include a "Test" procedure. The Add-on does not offer any error/success messages. Just silently does nothing.

The Chrome "Play to Kodi" works fine and even includes play controls.

Works! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Would seriously love to see support for other sites/things, but seriously, this does exactly what it's supposed to do & what I need it to do! It rocks.

work perfect

Works perfectly for YouTube Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Flawless functioning when I use the 'Send to Kodi' graphic-link embedded on the YouTube page (above video thumbnails on right). The alternate method of choosing 'Send to Kodi' via right-clicking a YT video does not work to send the video, however it does send the video thumbnail to the Kodi screen (and pressing the OK button on the Kodi remote will rotate this image 90° with each press). I can live without the right-click menu options though and the embedded 'Send to Kodi' graphic-link that appears to the right of the YT video is more intuitive anyway. Awesome add-on! Improving on it by adding a queue-list would be great for watching multiple shorter videos (like a playlist of music videos for example) without interruptions instead of walking back and forth to computer after each video ends to start a new one. Once you send a video the standard Kodi remote takes over for controlling playback which is pretty cool, so it doesn't matter if you pause the YT video or navigate away from the page on the computer/device that sent the video, it will keep playing on your Kodi screen. Thanks for making a great Firefox add-on!

Hardware/Software: sending computer is an older Mac with OS X 10.6 and Firefox current (44.0.2). Kodi system is OpenELEC 6 / Kodi 15.2 on an Amlogic MX box.

The lack of an option to queue links is dissapointing. Also some basic playback controls would be nice.

Very good Rated 4 out of 5 stars

For the right click menu: Maybe you can shorten the way to send to kodi by removing "Play On" and "Manage Servers". Most users have only one Kodi instance I guess. Or making it an option.
Could you please add Vimeo support?

great addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you it works very well !

Like an other user said, it would be great to be able to enqueue a video in a playlist and to make it work with vimeo and other video platforms !

Problems with Kodi/Youtube have caused problems but this addon is great Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I installed this today on Firefox 42.0 which is running on Linux Mint 17 Qiana and my Kodi is a Raspberry Pi 2 running Kodi 15.2. I get a box saying Sending to Kodi and the Pi displays a box saying that it is opening the stream. The box on the media centre that says Opening stream then disappears, I very briefly get the control panel (play, stop, next etc) and then nothing more. My PC then says "Success, sent to Kodi." I can view Youtube videos on the media centre OK but I wanted to be able to send them from my PC.
UPDATE: Following a quick response from the developers this is a Kodi/Youtube problem. The addon itself is really good.

Incorrect file structure Kodi 15.2-RC2 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Feedback:

Installing zip file under Kodi 15.2-RC2 produces error message:

"Add-on does not have the correct file structure"

This is a Firefox addon, why on earth are you trying to install it on Kodi and then give a 1-star review because that doesn't work?

Great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

please make it possible to enqueue video to current playlist
and NOT choosing server, if you have just one.
this will be perfect!

Give me more! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works pretty much fine for youtube, though the button disappears on youtube when you select another tube on the right. You'd have to refresh the page then again to see it re-appear. (/update, this is fixed!)

Furthermore, generalize this plugin to Vimeo and others! That would be awesome.

html 5 now works! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great job, thank you!

This issue should be fixed in v2.3.0, thanks for the feedback.

work just fine Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Despite gammy's comment, this addon is working just as is should on firefox 37 / ubuntu, connecting to latest kodi running on raspbmc.
It's however a shame that there is no option to disable youtube CSS overlay as it is quite intrusive imho.

Doesn't seem to work and doesn't do what it says it does Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Well, perhaps I'm doing something wrong, considering so many people seem to enjoy the addon. I'm on Firefox 36.0.1 running on Linux, describing v2.2.0 version of this addon. Firstly I did have to restart firefox for the "Send to XBMC" CSS to be added to Youtube. Secondly, no new item appeared in the right-click context menu as the description says. Thirdly, it states that port 80 is the default port, when it's port 9090. Fourthly, when it fails to connect, it couldn't be less informative about the error. Furthermore, even when it appears to be set up correctly, showing a "Sending to Kodi" (odd message, why not say "Sending to <the name set in the configuration>", it does not actually even attempt to connect to the media center. Why? No idea.

As an FYI for the devs, the "XBMC Remote Control" addon works just fine, so it would appear that my Kodi setup is configured correctly.

An issue with the Send to Kodi button not always appearing on YouTube has been solved in v2.3. The default port can vary per platform, on Windows its 80 while on Linux it could be 8080. Since the connection is using a high level API, there isn't much more information available when it fails to connect. If the addon gives a network error, try connecting on IP instead of hostname. If you have more problems, have a look at https://github.com/dirkjanm/firefox-send-to-xbmc/issues/ if your issue is there and if not feel free to open a new issue.

Not work in firefox 36.0.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.2.0.1-signed.1-signed).

If you have a specific issue with the plugin, please open an issue at https://github.com/dirkjanm/firefox-send-to-xbmc/issues
It will have to be a bit more specific than "not work" though, without a problem description there is no way to solve the issue.

Nice! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This addon is very easy to use and useful. I mainly use to to send youtube videos to my kodi htpc. The reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because I often have to refresh the youtube page to see the "send to" button. Would be great if you could fix this. Is it also possible to add soundcloud support? Anyway, thanks for a great addon!
