How I Get It To Work Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I love this app and have used it for a long time to read online newspapers. Just be aware that it isn't fully functioning any longer.

You used to be able to activate it by:
- Clicking the 'X' in the top right corner of the browser that closes the browser window.

or

- By selecting Tools > Selective Cookie Delete > Apply

Neither of these methods does anything in regards to this add-on on any longer.

It still works fine if you go to:

Tools > Add Ons > Extensions > Selective Cookie Delete > Options > Save Preferences and Remove Cookies

Not quite sure why the other methods died, but they did more than a year ago. Would love it if they were brought back.

It works great Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Good

Not maintained anymore? Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It used to work well, it looks like it is not updated for FFV50 because:
1. clicking the icon does not erase icons anymore
2. clicking on arrow should show preferences - not anymore
3. only from add-ons manage page you can see preferences and from there erase coookies.
4. for some reason it does not erase google cookie!
Sad...it was a good addon.

e10s support ? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Any plans to add e10s support? It was a so great this add-on.

Stopped working a few months ago Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This add-on used to be great, but now it deletes all cookies, without taking into consideration the whitelist.

Has not worked for some time Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Tried emailing the author and no reply. This no longer opens from the add-on bar or menu and no longer deletes cookies on closing Firefox. Loved it. Wished it would work again.

Very great AddOn! It does exactly what I would normally expect from the built in Firefox Cookie Management. The difference is, this AddOn is doing his work. You can keep important Cookies with their thirdparty Cookies(some sites need it to stay logged in| example: YT & G+), also when you close FireFox. Another nice thing is, that you have the same overview as going on rightclick>site-information>security>show cookies and not a self created overview from the AddOn. So it's very easy to figure out, wich cookies you want to keep and wich not. I also haven't found any bugs yet. It works perfectly with FF35. Great! THX!

I suggest some improvents Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very good plugin, but have two issues, that i've fixed here - http://pastebin.com/HrTLNDa7
If you want, you can use code freely

1. Do not clear local storage. At this moment, every big site (like youtube) tracks you via local-storage too, clearing just cookies does not help. In my fix, i'm clearing local storages for all domains, i was too lazy to apply black/white lists. But it can be easily added

2. This plugin causes 1-minute freeze at browser shutdown, if a have 1000+ opened tabs. After many tests i have caught this bug. The problem in calling showAlertNotification, i can't explain why, but suppressing this on closing dramatically improves browser shutdown time

非常好 , 就是维护比较麻烦
个人比较喜欢 chrome 下的 tab cookie 的设计

Excellent and need this to work in Seamonkey! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It does what I want it to do. I like how it works. I love the little pizza on my toolbar for easy access. But I use SEAMONKEY too. Why is this not released for Seamonkey? Cmon!

Good functions but bad UI Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Generally good and useful add-on, but the UI is tiny for setting preferences and very badly designed. It would be much better if it was a bigger window and a different kind of, more user-friendly layout of functionalities. For one, when I'm in the edit window every time I click on a cookie to move from one window to the other the list jumps back up to the top making me scroll down to where I think I was in a tiny window. Very frustrating! Speed this up!

Been looking for something like this.works as it says thanks!

Works as advertised. This is particularly valuable in avoiding some pay-walls that use cookies to limit the number of articles read.

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works great, but with one fatal flaw. I you check "delete cookies on exit", Firefox will not close or restart. Sometimes, on exit, I get message "do you want to continue running selective cookie delete script?". Sometimes it just hangs. Needless to say, I am not using this option anymore.

To the previous review. Cookies, just not flash ones, do get deleted. For the flash cookies you will need Better Privacy extension. And make sure you do not get another cookie prevention extensions like "Beef Taco". They will restore cookies.

Be aware Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Be aware that Firefox's built-in cookie delete deletes all cookies including Flash and local storage information. While selectivecookiedelete brings the most valued option to selectively delete (plain classical) cookies, it will not remove the other two above-mentioned user related storage datas. There are other add-ons for that. The idea is to not let oneself be be blind by what could appear as a universal cookie privacy solution.

Suggestion Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This add-on really helps a lot. Thanks. But could you add an option to also execute the cookie deletion periodically using a user defined time interval instead of having to trigger it manually all the time? This would be a really practicle feature.

should be standard in firefox Rated 5 out of 5 stars

great tool, thanks!
