Work not at all sites Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great addon, but why doesn't work at some sites? Password saving, but not inserting back. For example, this one: odnoklassniki.ru

A must. Why isn't this the ff default??

Still only needs one click to submit, but much less vulnerable to any scripting attacks!!!

Possible improvement: hide key if no password available

Autocomplete="off" Bug#245333 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent. There is a FF problem that does not allow saving passwords for some sites (autocomplete="off" bug):
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=245333

Notice at the bottom of that page is a fix, packaged as an extension, that is located at:
http://www.smart-roadster-club.de/off-topic/mozilla/extensions/activate-autocomplete/

Yay! Even more excellent now!

Should be built into Firefox Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This makes Firefox more secure, eliminating the risk of a site ending up with your login information without your intention. It's such a profoundly good idea, my only complaint is that it's not the standard Firefox behavior. Until Firefox builds the functionality in, I highly recommend this.

Waste of time Rated 1 out of 5 stars

You have to ask yourself -why is an extension that needs all the following done in order to be functional being promoted by firefox?

"You can use a so-called Bookmarklet to achieve this:

* Visit the following website: Remember Password Bookmarklet.
* CLick with the right mouse button on the "remember password" button/link and select ""Boommark this link" from the context menu to add it to your bookmarks.
* Go to the login page that prevents you to save passwords.
* Make sure JavaScript is enabled for the current page, else the bookmarklet won't work (it is written in JavaScript).
* Click on the new "remember passwords" bookmark that you just added.
* A dialog should appear, telling you that autocomplete="off" has been removed from the login form.
* Input your username and password and submit the form - Firefox Password Manager should now be able to remember your password.

The next time you visit this login page you should be able to login with Secure Login."

Secure Login is no Password Manager

Secure Login does never save any passwords, nor does it manage your saved passwords.
This is entirely done by Firefox integrated Password Manager.
Secure Login is just a simple extension to improve the convenience and security of the login process.

Firefox Password Manager respects a non-standard form attribute (autocomplete="off") which allows webmasters to prevent users from saving passwords with Firefox Password Manager. This is the case for many banking websites, the login page of Yahoo and several other login pages.
There is a workaraound to save passwords on these sites nonetheless which is described on the Secure Login homepage and involves the use of a JavaScript bookmarklet.
However, this issue has nothing to do with Secure Login itself.

This addon really demonstrates the standard that need to be classified as a security addon: Security enhancement as well as a user-friendly UI and reliable operation.

The help file available on web is very detailed.

Thanks for such a great work.

5 stars indeed.

great addin.
however, it automatically enters the login (username and password) when i click on the username field and then click on anywhere on the webpage. I thought it should only enters the login information when i click the "key" or use shortcut. :(

Password Manager Feature

Secure Login doesn't add any event listeners to the login fields and therefore a click on those fields cannot invoke any Secure Login functionality.
However, Firefox integrated password manager allows you to input the saved username+password if you click on the username field.

"No login data for this page" ??!!?? I have many accounts and this add-on doesn't detect them when I click on icon key.

Thi add-on is useless. Avoid it.

Request support

I would advise you to request support.
Might be we can sort out why Secure Login didn't work out for you. Many other users (including myself) use Secure Login every day and like the added convenience and security.
Regards, Sebastian.

As advertised, it makes Firefox functionality closer to Opera. This release doesn't seem to be able to handle the Opera keyboard shortcut though - using CTRL+ENTER as the shortcut key submits the form without any input!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.3).

Keyboard Shortcuts

Not all shortcuts might work on all platforms (Windows, OS X, various desktop environments on GNU/Linux).
Often, keyboard shortcuts are already registered for the operating system, Firefox itself or another extension.

If a form is focused, CTRL+ENTER will submit the form on Firefox, as this is a built-in functionality of Firefox.

Awesome, but I'm sort of scared to use it since it doesn't come with a privacy policy!
