could be better Rated 4 out of 5 stars

could add highlighting to the scroll bar as other extensions do

more importantly, word button are forgotten after browser restart - you have to click in the search bar, then click outside of it to re-buttonize the words

EDIT: thanks to the dev for his reply ;)

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.7).

I assume you're also using the add-on "SearchBox Sync" (otherwise search terms wouldn't be remembered across browser sessions)?

Your problem is tracked at https://code.google.com/p/searchwp/issues/detail?id=98 and will be fixed in a future release.

possible bug - conflict with Search Site 3.0 Rated 3 out of 5 stars

code.google is a ROYAL PAIN and i'm not going to join it, so reporting here...

SearchWP conflicts with Search Site v3 in that the assigned hot-key used in Search Site (Ctrl+Return) fails to work when SearchWP is enabled

artifact in search and address inputs Rated 4 out of 5 stars

since ff v17 or so SearchWP causes a tiny artifact to the left of the search terms and also to the left of the address in the address bar. it is a very small vertical bar, 1px wide and orange in color. other than that, this has been a very handy addon!

v2.6.1 - tiny annoyance Rated 5 out of 5 stars

i read the change log and it said...
" Fixed: Tokens cause urlbar to change in height with Firefox 9+. (issue 72)"

the problem with 2.6.1, at least in my case (FF 7x on Win 7), is that the searchbar height is fine if it is empty or is focused, but once you add something and click off of it so the words become "word buttons", the height drops a few pixels.

for those also experiencing this issue, you can add this to your "userChrome.css" to force the height to remain static...

#search-container, #searchbar { height: 26px !important; }

adjust the height to suit your own needs

really glad this plug is still being developed though!!! this should be a standard feature in FF IMO

also, the mouse wheel scroll to highlight terms is a brilliant little idea :)

Great little extension!!! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

combined with SearchBox Sync, this makes for a pretty good alternative to the google toolbar

i hope the dev decides to continue this project - right now it seems like it's in limbo. to drop him a note, go here:
