Causes problems with FF 43.0 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
With the new Firefox release and with this extension installed... the basic Firefox search window is essentially dead. If you copy/paste or type something in and hit Enter... nothing happens. If you were to right-click on the window and click on Paste and Search... nothing happens...
All works fine when this extensions is disabled.
I also tried it out in a new/clean profile and had the same profiles. I still give it 5 starts because when it works... it works... thank you Alice
Follow up... just after I posted this it seems that she made the fix... all is well in the Firefox world not... thank you!!!

很实用，但按字母排序对中文支持不好，中文关键词排序乱This review is for a previous version of the add-on (5.1.1-signed).

the redirection could be caused by your user-agent setting which probably contains the string MSIE. Sorry, but usually those visitors of my pages are spam robots.
Thank you for the suggested formfill configuration! It does exactly what I need.
I also tried miscellaneous settings to exclude suggestions not starting with typed letters, but had no success. Anyway, I found that setting boundaryWeight to e.g. 100 (while bucketSize is set to default) will prefer suggestions starting with typed letters. Those suggestions then are placed on top of the list.
The Searchbar Autocomplete Order add-on indeed only shows suggestions beginning with typed letters. But it even excludes multi-word suggestions where the matching word is not at first position: e.g. if you type co, it will not(!) match "about config" but it would match "config about".
However, Searchbar Autocomplete Order no longer works with Firefox 4, they completely rewrote the suggestions code and I think it's a quite big deal to update the override code of the Searchbar Autocomplete Order add-on.

I am writting you because of Searchbar Autocomplete Order...
1. You wrote "A Firefox compatible version of Searchbar Autocomplete Order is available here (scroll down to the very bottom): http://netticat.ath.cx/MyAddons/MyAddons.htm".
Unfortunately I dont find new version of this addon on this page, I get redirected to some Microsoft staff. Is this OK or is there something wrong?
2. After changing browser.formfill.bucketSize, browser.formfill.maxTimeGroupings, browser.formfill.timeGroupingSize to value -1 in about:config I am able to order the entries chronological. There is something else: When I type for ex. B it shows me all entries starting with B. This is fine! But when I type BO is shows me not only entries starting with BO but also entries CONTAINING the letter BO (for ex it shows me "about"). What should I change in about:config , so that typing letters shows me only entries starting with this letters?

Please Update for 3.6 Rated 5 out of 5 stars
With FF 3.6, developers have reverted to back to sorting search box by most recent entry as default instead of alphabetical. The workaround consists of modifying the about:config but that still doesn't give the same results as 3.5. Could you possible revisit this nice little add-on and update it to work with FF3.6? I thank you kindly!!!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.2).
Chronological search order at last! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
For a long time I been waiting for this add-on: after uninstalling the Google Toolbar in favor of several search enhancing add-ons (including Organize Search Engines, Searchbox Companion and Context Search), I was stuck with the default alphabetic sort order. At last I have my desired chronological order back! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.2).
