Screengrab Version History

10 versions

Be careful with old versions!

These versions are displayed for reference and testing purposes. You should always use the latest version of an add-on.

Version 0.96.3 77.8 KB Works with Firefox 3.0 and later

Fixed issue with deprecated getBoxObjectFor, causing Java-based grabs to fail (flash/applets).
Fixed background colour still inconsistent (now always set to white).
Fixed copy window still showing when Java is not enabled (no one seemed to notice this one...)

Version 0.96.2 84.0 KB Works with Firefox 3.0 - 3.6.*

Fixes a new issue where pages showed a black background when there was no background color set.

Version 0.96.1 84.0 KB Works with Firefox 3.0 - 3.5.*

Small fix to avoid issues with Java 6u10 and 6u11. These versions of Java have a broken Java Plugin which forces Firefox extensions to run in an unprivileged mode. For Screengrab, it means that grabs with any Flash or Java in them will silently fail.

If Screengrab detects these versions of Java while trying to take a capture it will act as though Java is disabled and will not attempt any special handling of Applets or Flash. This is not the case on Linux (tested on Ubuntu), where these versions of Java seem to work fine.

To reliably capture Java applets and Flash, you will need to upgrade to Java 6u12 (or downgrade to a version before 6u10).

This fix should also resolve issues where the pink highlight occasionally appears in the grab of an Applet.

Version 0.95 45.1 KB Works with Firefox 2.0 - 3.0.*

Fixes for compatibility with FF3

Version 0.94 45.1 KB Works with Firefox 2.0 - 3.0b5

Support for 3.0b5

Version 0.93 45.1 KB Works with Firefox 2.0 - 3.0a3

Fixed the minimum version. Should be 2.0

Version 0.7 23.6 KB Works with Firefox 1.0 - 1.5.0.*

Bug fix.
More translations.

Version 0.6 20.5 KB Works with Firefox 1.0 - 1.5.0.*

Fixed the amusing problem with mozilla.org, and hopefully any other webpage that has strange horizontal banding issues. Made better error messages (problems are usually that Java isn't configured properly).
Fixed a stupid bug where I was calling a method that doesn't exist.
Fixed some SecurityException problems (I hope - feedback on this would be good). Fixed problems with context menu obscuring view in some Linux variants (I hope). Made my update rdf actually work (I think)

Version 0.5 15.4 KB Works with Firefox 1.0 - 1.0+

New in 0.5
=======
Added locale and Frames support. Moved 3 context menu options into a ScreenGrab! menu.

Please try saving your gmail account as an image. It SHOULD work now. :)

Version 0.4 24.6 KB Works with Firefox 1.0 - 1.0

Mac OS finally fixed by rewrite of the grab loop.
The code now explicitly calls scrollTo and then waits for a while before taking the screenshot. Java was taking the shot before the page had actually moved, causing some seriously bad images.

Still don't know whether this works on any Unixes. Might try at work on Monday...
