Okay this is totally pointless addon, that wont let you take currently active URL then add lets say &frame=1 to it & then navigate to it.

why cant the addon do this?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.2).

Can you give more info?

Hi

It can definitely do this. If you give me your patterns/redirect urls then I can tell you what the problem is.

best regards,
Einar

Great plugin but limited in use. It only redirects the address in the browser address bar. It would be nice to redirect all machine requests no matter how they were made (img, js, css, iframe). This would make this a great development tool (ie. redirecting a JS request to a modified version on a local webserver).

Very useful, however the "Export" function does not work here. No file is generated at all, and I don't feel like rewriting my 30 redirections in the 3 computers I use...

What OS/Version

Hi, what operating system and Firefox version are you using? I've heard of some problems on Macs, but can't really verify them since I don't have one.

This plugin fixed a weird Facebook problem I have at work - for some reason, I can only access Facebook shared links, if they are accessed through HTTPS - this plugin now redirects all http://www.facebook.com links to https://www.facebook.com :-)

Keep up the good work!

Decent, but it doesn't redirect AJAX requests (only page navigations), meaning that it can't be used to redirect dynamic page features to a different server.

Just what i was looking for!

I go to an internet school that requires 900 hours per year, logged in to graduate. To get these hours, I have to go into what they call study hall to keep myself logged in. There has been a bug in the study hall for a while. Every minute the page reloads, but instead of the regular url it would go to "website.website.org/studyhall" instead of "website.org/studyhall"

I just set it to redirect the bad one to the correct one, all fixed! My minutes are going up already. With the macro i made to log in early in the morning, I should have my 900 hours in no time!

Thanks for this! xoxo

is there a way you could create a keyboard shortcut to turn redirection on and off?

Powerful plugin.

At first, I got impression as if it is very simple plugin for very simple use.

'CHANGE the description' to something like 'URL Rewriter'

Clearly state wild card and regex support in description.

网页重定向。它将按照你定制的规则将网页重定向,最典型用法是将 http://foo.com/bar 重新定向到 https://foo.com/bar ,适合有些同时提供 http:// 和 https:// 协议服务的网站总是用加密的方式访问

Doesn't work. FF 3.0.14 Ubuntu

I've got a redirect setup right, the test button shows it should be just fine, but it does nothing.

I've checked the option to warn when pages are redirected, I get no warning.

It took quite some time to understand how it works because the 'help' on the web site is a 200 page list of posts by random people, and most of them know nothing about relaying information for others.

It would be much better if the author would make a short and sweet example list.

I don't see other addons to redirect. I just want &tdesc=1 added to the end of urls that start with a site/path.

Email me, I´ll help you.

Hi

Sorry it isn't working for you. The comments on the product page aren't really help, they're just, well, comments. There are some examples in the Help, which is available from the Tools->Redirector window, but not a lot.

I try to help anyone that emails me, I understand if you don't want to post your actual redirects on the web, but if you send me the url's you're having problems with at einar@einaregilsson.com then I'll see what's happening.

best regards,
Einar

p.s. from the example you give I would think you need something like:

include pattern: http://example.com/*
exclude pattern: http://example.com/*tdesc=1*
redirect to: http://example.com/$1&tdesc=1
pattern type: wildcard

Great idea. Thanks. It would be even better if it can work as a build-in hosts file (like etc/hosts).

Great addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A really usefull addon to skip those redirect pages. But one thing is *really* missing: An option for decoding the URL. In many cases you have http://redirector.com/?r=http%3A%2F%2Fgoogle.com -> the captured URL needs to get URL-decoded.
