Finally my lost ram is returning back. This add-on should be added to the next firefox release.

Firefox is still using 500 MB of memory with the add-on installed. Doesn't seem to be working.

this tool seems like one of its kind but it didn't work for me. application seems to be dead.

Doesn't seem to work. After looking at the addon's code, it's possible that it's even outdated.

Hoping for a fix or update.

Really not working - seems dead Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This may be pilot error on my part, but I install RamBack, restart FF, add tool bar button (blue, red, green stacked bars icon), and nothing. Button does not work and 'options' grayed out on RamBack in add-ons...

With four tabs open, FF is using 143K. I close three tabs (leaving this one open) and memory goes to 127K. Not bad, but is it RamBack doing it or FF?

Awesome. Removes my only (major) issue with Firefox. Great work!

Uses more memory when cache is cleared Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I used ramback in 3.5.1 and actually ended up using about 50k more memory when I cleared the cache. Clearly I was doing better when I didn't have this extension installed.

I hope this can be fixed. The idea of it is good.

ABSOLUTE must have for 256MB PC users Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Ok with Fx 3.5 and a dozen add-ons
RAM use of firefox was constantly increasing before install. Now it is lowering when closing tabs, which seems soooooooo normal.
Ok with Fx 3.5 and a dozen add-ons
I was using "RAMbooster" to manage RAM, which is great as well, but RAMback is much more efficient.

AWESOME!!! Just that it WORKS!!!
- A pat to those who are lazy enough to minimize Fx and check the beauty of the add-on.
- Needs a little more exposure... thats y 4... or else... i'd give it a BIG 5...

False Claim Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Plug-in does nothing to free up memory as claimed. I'm using FF version 3.0.10 with XP as can see no difference with or without plug-in enabled.

still no difference in RAM usage with/without this addon ... :-((

MinimizeToTray works when option is activated... it clears ram usage when minimized ;-)

Not working Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It doesn't work for Firefox 3.0.8
I still have to restart firefox to retrieve memory, but i rated it 4 because If it worked it would be great.
but I would give 5 if it wasn't manual and freed memory on each tab close, because the cache data growth has a direct relation to to the content of each tab.

Don't waste your time. It does not do much to the amount of RAM Firefox uses.
