School Proxy Blocks 90% of the Internet!!! (Wikipedia, youtube, facebook, everysite anime site. Creepypasta not blocked wtf. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I don't want to get this as I've tried using it, but instead I write this review to ask that someone makes a free add-on that allows the students of my school to search freely, a un-blocker pretty much (that actually works) that allows access to most or at least the popular websites.

Something changed with this add on or I've lost my mind Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I got this add on last yr. I am SURE that when I first got it I would go to a site and it would not allow me in, I would then click the proxmate icon, and it would work next time I load page. But now when I do it I get this "you have not added packages" message. So, I tried it, I did download a package.. but I got no results. And the next time i went to use it I got the same no packages notice. The reason I say I MAY have lost my mind, is I did try Hola, at some point. And either Hola or Proxmate would ask me what country I wanted to appear to be in after I clicked button. And BOTH worked well for a long while. But one day I had neither.
I intentionally do not allow Firefox to auto update because of the fact it DOES disable some add ons. So I know it was not an update. (also I use Mozyback and ALWAYS make a couple of good backups of Firefox before i get the updates, so I can rollback should the update suck. Like the one that took my add on bar AND all the icons that went in it!)
However, Hola went away too. I lost it I suppose in a Firefox update... and next time i downloaded it, I got a whole browser, and it doesnt work at all. So either firefox has changed something or Proxmate changed something, but at this point both Hola and proxmate have ecome useless to me... SAD but true. I would love ot have this work. Without all this download packages stuff. I dont just browse the packages pages.... Developer... if iAM losing my mind PLEASE feel free to comment and let me know... (you wouldn't be the first to do so!)

Stops working randomly; other than that, it's fine Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I'm talking about the Pandora package, didn't test anything else. It works if you activate it before opening Pandora, but it stops randomly after some time.

Its good, just take five seconds to set it up, install the packages and go. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Seriously, just take 5 seconds to learn how to use it. Its a lot better than other add-ons because it can be set to only work on a few sites and not all so it wont slow you down when you're surfing.

does exactly what the description says: unlock the Internet. great! it seems that this add-on is clever and puts only the necessary traffic through a proxy

Can't donate Rated 3 out of 5 stars

The website uses Paypal to donate with no other options. However, Paypal will not accept donations from Japan so I cannot get a key. Can you provide alternative payment methods?

I needed a proxy so I could watch Netflix in Italy.
I downloaded this add-on/extension, went to their website and downloaded the Netfix package (which was free), and then bam! I'm sitting here watching Netflix.
It's simple and easy and I wish I had tried it sooner before trying to watch netflix on Tor like an idiot.
I'm totally donate the $4 to you guys when I get back to the states. Great job on this.
Uh... and I saw you guys had like a 3-star rating so I made this account just for you. I hope your happy now guys. I did what I could. You're wonderful.

3 stars from me, i just installed this for the first time and so far so good but i have to test more websites than just youtube over an extended period of time to see how this add-on holds up

Does NOT Work Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The only thing this extension does is constantly refresh the page - NOTHING else. And there REALLY needs to be a zero star rating for useless extensions like this.

Netflix Works!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Downloaded. Added the Netflix package. Restarted Firefox. Opened Netflix. And it's showing me a ton of shows that I could not get before.
Thank you. 5*

Not functional for YouTube Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Like other reviewers said this addon is not working for YouTube. It shows the thumbnail of banned videos for a fraction of a second, then the video disappears completely, and only a black rectangle is left.

This issue exists for quite a while and is present since the 4.1.1 beta version.

Doesn't work Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Didn't work for me at all. I’m in the US. I added the YouTube package. Still the video showed up as blocked. I added the unblock suffix to the video manually – still nothing. Refreshing didn’t work. Other proxy add-ons don’t work either, so I guess YouTube has figured a way to thwart these.

Best unblocker ... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Been using v2.3.3 mainly for youtube and really loved it. Even though it was outdated I managed to get it to work by adding the unblock sufix to the videos manually. On 4.1.2 however the window with the video player just turns black and nothing happens. Even after refreshing.

Now it works again... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Basically it was the best youtube-unblocker i tested so far. Worked very well in Germany. Now i got surprised by the message that i have to install packages to get the tool working. I tried the youtube pack and i'm not conviced of the functionality yet. At first the blocked video screen is just replaced by a completely black screen... wow! I found out that refreshing the page can help, at least after a little delay the vid finally starts playing. But somehow it doesn't run smoothly yet as it did some updates ago. Very positive: the App works silently, no annoying ads, no malware.

Update: Refreshing the page of the video does not help anymore, only black screens appear. Now i have to agree completely with all those who said that the youtube pack doesn't work in Germany.

15/04/10 Works again for youtube! So i had to add some deserved stars.

Hello and thanks for the review.
The entire youtube functionality got removed 1:1 into the package. If it worked before, it should still work since it is the same behavior. I will take a look.
