It can't use the windows control button when use LessChrome HD 4 on XP.

Can you make another extensions like “Address Bar in Active Tab”? A little like LessChrome HD. You can search it in Google.

Some time only need hide address bar not Navigation bar, thank you!!!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4).

Do you have personas? That hides the min/max/close for now: https://github.com/mozilla/prospector/issues/399

Whoa! This is the way route to go dear firefox team! This is innovation! The main reason I switched away from firefox on osx was its fat user-interface. This UI should be standard!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4).  This user has a previous review of this add-on.

Glad you liked it! The Labs team at Mozilla also looks to the community to innovate as well!

I like this add-on and so will You!
A few minor tweaks (i.e.:configurable fadetime) and this will be one of my must haves.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4).

The fade time is shorter in v5, so it should start disappearing faster and finish animating in less than half a second!

Love this.. Less Chrome HD 3 however does quit working on restart .. noticed a few instances where the shadow is offset too far down but usually fixes after full page load.. I have many mods as well and even more minimal-ization than this was designed for... so this could be a one instance thing..

Love the transparency and added shadow.. however.. instead of having a -135 degree shadow. I think it would be better for appearance to have -90 degree.. no drop out in the shadow on the left bottom as if to have direct light from above..( sort of covers it from all angles that way - IMO :) )

Honestly I am so proud of the mods in my Fx4 I would show you a screen shot in what you have helped me accomplish.. TY very much for this extension..

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3).

As you suggested, v5 puts the shadow directly underneath instead of at an angle. Thanks!

Please hide address bar when directly moves the right scrollbar

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3).

v5 will no longer show the address bar when moving to the right.

Awesome Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Tried and adopted at once !
I would love the same thing with the research function Ctrl+F

Thanks for the suggestion about auto-hiding the find bar as well! https://github.com/mozilla/prospector/issues/448

Stops Working after Restart Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Like the add on, but it stops working after restart as some others have noted below.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3).

Sorry about that! Could you try v4 or v5 to see if that fixes it for you?

I really like the simplified look, but I wish the add-on was activated by a keyboard button like the F11 full screen mode.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3).

For now in fullscreen, you'll need to use keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl-L: https://github.com/mozilla/prospector/issues/448

Very useful, love the shadow that version 3 added. However I must echo other users sentiments in that the window controls (minimize, restore/maximize, close) are gone now. Or rather I should say hidden as they still work, but are covered up by the persona. Here's a screenshot while windowed to illustrate what I mean: http://di.serveftp.net/s/LLLsTp. Notice the glow from the button is visible. It would also be great if the bar could slide down and then back up smoothly rather than just appearing and disappearing, but that's polish that can be done later.

Thanks for the suggestion about animating in the toolbars too! https://github.com/mozilla/prospector/issues/449

Quit Button Bug Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I'm unable to quit Firefox by clicking on the quit button after enabling the addon.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3).

Can you not quit or you just can't see the button? How about the Firefox button?

F6 in Windows Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Hi, the add-on is nice. I prefer when the user press F6 key, the URL-Bar un-hide (is working) but, the URL get selected for a new input.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3).

The original F6 functionality got changed in Firefox 4. However, you can search for the "F6" add-on to get that functionality back.

It should be possible to configure the delay when the bar disappears after leaving them with the cursor, with options from instantly to some seconds.

Second point: When the mouses leaves the whole FF-window, the bars appear, which i don't really like...

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3).

Please try v5 where it won't show the bars when the mouse leaves.

Does not work with webdeveloper toolbar. If visible, there is an empty line, if not visible, the webdeveloper toolbar is behind the address bar. So pretty useless for me.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3).

v4 should fix an issue where the toolbars would keep appearing when pointing at the web developer area.

One Question Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Very interesting addon. In my particular case, what I would really need is the addon to keep operative even when tabs are NOT on top of navigation bar but below it (the classical way) . I would also need the tabs to be able to autohide ... in fact what I would REALLY NEED is a FULL SCREEN behaviour ... BUT ... with a light ERGONOMY change : now, when moving the cursor to the top of the screen in order to see the navigation bar and tab bar ... the whole page pumps down and up (even my glasses pumps down and up)... it is very unconfortable. I have seen the video about this addon ... and when the navigation bar appears it overlays the content of the screen without pumping down the content of the browser ... that's the good way ... and the question is : Could this behaviour be implemented to the Fullscreen mode ??????

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2).

The fullscreen issue is being tracked https://github.com/mozilla/prospector/issues/373

Required? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I don't understand the point of all this...if one is so hell bent on getting this much screen space, simply use full screen mode!!!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2).

Fullscreen requires using the full width, but some people want vertical space and share the horizontal space with other things.

compatibility with FoxTab Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Not fully compatible with the option "Favorite Sites" of FoxTab

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2).

It seems like FoxTab is doing something to draw in the full screen of the browser and is reading out a size that's too big.

Doesn't work with Tabs on Bottom Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Mousing over hidden chrome when "Tabs on Top" is not set (meaning tabs are below awesome bar) causes various tab display problems. Otherwise, nice addition to FF.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2).

There's issues with "tabs on bottom" if you want them to stay at the bottom when showing the other toolbars as the tabs shift away as you point at them. https://github.com/mozilla/prospector/issues/362

Awesome but small bug and suggest Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Love this addon it gives just that little bit more room to view a pretty website and my browser is less cluttered.
though i do seem to have a bug where it sometimes doesn't auto-hide at all particularly with viewing only an image/jpg/gif and no website.
One annoying thing i found that would be a nice fix is before the auto-hide starts working the top part of whatever website/image you are viewing is partially obscured it would be much better if you were able to make it "scale" the website/image from viewing with all your toolbars and then with them hidden.
This leads into my suggestion of having a setting for your addon to be able to set the time it takes the addon to hide as i would like to make it instant if i don't have my mouse cursor over the toolbars area whereas im sure there are people who would like to set their own shorter/longer setting to fit their viewing style.
otherwise cheers for the kool addon.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2).

v5 adjusts various timers including adding one to delay showing toolbars when accidentally pointing up. You can always click the page to dismiss the toolbar immediately.

Same issue as NyanNyan, except I am not using a persona.

Another bug I see is when I use middle mouse click to open a separate tabs in the background (via Tab Mix Plus), the additional tabs will not show up unless I move the mouse cursor near the top of the screen to trigger the navigation bar to appear. This is not a problem with using ctrl+t to open a new tab.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2).

Is middle click to open tabs in the background different from a ctrl-click to open in a tab? They seem to animate in with red text as usual for me.

This is a must-have add-on for those who like to see more of the web-page and less of the browser. It is a tiny add-on (under 10 kb) and restartless too! I am confident of this become a default feature in future versions of Firefox.
Just love it!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2).

Glad you're enjoying the small restartless-ness of the add-on!
