Meet the PixelZoomer Developer

Why was PixelZoomer created?

The idea behind PixelZoomer originated when I was working on a subtle website. Many boxes and distances had to be adjusted very often and so the need for a pixel tool grew. I wanted a Firefox extension which provided the comfort of advanced viewing controls as they can be found in image editing applications. So the main intention was to create an add-on for web developers which was based on real pixels. While working on the code, the thought of including an eye dropper came up. With Firefox' canvas abilities it was a joy to implement the color tool. I hope every PixelZoomer user can improve his precision when working on web projects.

What's next for PixelZoomer

During the development I had many ideas I wanted to build into the extension. Since I wanted to look how PixelZoomer arrives in the community, I didn't include all of the features. I think the add-on already serves its purpose, however there are many functions which could improve the tool. One functionality could be the possibility of resizing existing selections. Another option may be an "Undo" command. Let me know if you have a personal feature request.
