GAhhh I can't use the internet without Pentadactyl, so the new Firefox release schedule is KILLING me.

In terms of productivity increases, this add-on rivals vim itself for me. We all use the internet so much.

Overall the functions are very good and make browsing comfortable. But sometimes (or more specifically: for some features, eg. like history) Pentadactyl responds too slow. Speed should be improved to make it a really good add-on.

Great Addon. Can't really find proper words to express how i'm happy that this addon exists. Vim users are bound to love it.

I do hope it'll be maintained as long as firefox is on the market :). Ah, btw, one of major reasons why i switched back from chrome to firefox.

Thank you!

Got me to convert back over after using Chrome for four years. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Reading the quick start guide for 10 seconds from Chrome was enough to inspire an envy that made me immediately download Firefox, software that hasn't been on my computer for years.

As long as Firefox has an actively maintained Pentadactyl, I don't see myself ever switching browsers for casual browsing again.

Works really well Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I just love this addon. :-)
I makes browsing so much simpler.
If you are familiar with the key mappings of vim then this is a fantastic way to control your browser.
For anyone wanting to have a powerful method to control the browser using the keyboard then they should give this a try.
I am using it here with Firefox 8.0 and it is all good.
Keep up the good work guys...

Even if you don't know vim this is an excellent plugin because the help is very easy to read. And also, it is much better than vimperator.

Much powerful than Vimperator, tab complete is awesome! Features I wanted include: upgraded bookmark support, follow links now support pages generated by scripts.

This is the primary reason I use Firefox. Getting rid of clutter and keyboard navigation are really handy on a netbook!

Never heard of Vimperator, but this add-on works as advertised and has revolutionized browsing for me! No more switching between the mouse and keyboard (and I get to brush up on my Vim as well)! Thanks!

I had been a happy Vimperator user for almost three years. But recently the development appears to have stalled, with very annoying bugs (that I've reported) remaining open for months and months. So a few weeks ago I finally gave Pentadactyl a try and I'm not looking back for a second (in spite of the terrible name). All the bugs that had annoyed me in Vimperator had already been fixed in Pentadactyl and the switch was really painless: I just had to rename my .vimperatorrc to .pentadactylrc and look into two or three options that had slightly different names or syntax, that's it.

I'm deeply grateful to the developers, I cannot imagine living without this add-on.

Have not switched already? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

As far as I have used Pentadactyl (I hope they name it 5d or d5, for short...) all mayor Vimperator anoyances went away It works so well you almost forget it is actually installed. I'm glad for this "fork" and I am sad for not finding it before. It is my impression that current vimp. developers are quite focused in syntax, forgeting what matters: To make the basic freaking thing work!Pentadactyl #FTW! Just install and never look back.

Make the switch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Seeing as so many Vimperator users will be reading these reviews, let me say: don't think about it; make the switch. The thing that really made me change was the broken search suggestions. However, once I switched to Pentadactyl, I realised how much is incomplete in Vimperator (e.g. addons window and downloads!). Moving over completely is easy:
Type :mkv to save your Vimperator settings
Copy the .vimperator/ folder and .vimperatorrc files as .pentadactyl/ and .pentadactylrc
Install Pentadactyl
Disable/uninstall Vimperator
Restart Firefox

Lovely addon. If vimperator got to clutteded and "neat" for you, try this one.
Very nice features, nice interface and of course vim's powerful control syntax.

One downside: some of the lists are a little slow, e.g. the history.
This makes it hard for hardcore shell-users who finish commands without them being printed already or without even looking.
E.g. if you use tab-completion, know what the result will be end press Return before it finished completing, pentadactyl will send the incomplete command and you have to try again.
