Adds an option to open a link in a new tab without loading the page until you switch to the tab.

If you want this feature as default behavior, then i suggest you install this addon instead:

1) Ctrl + middle-click opens in silent tab
2) Ctrl + alt + left-click opens in silent tab
Right clicking on a bookmark will show the "Open in a Silent Tab" item (does not work on all bookmarks)
Version 0.2.5 is now compatible with e10s mode.
The "Prefetch link" option only fetches the link you opened with "Open Link in Silent Tab"
it does NOT prefetch all links on the page.
You may think that there is this "Don’t load tabs until selected" option in firefox, but this is not true. This option is only for tabs to prevent them from loading at startup.

It used to be under "When Firefox starts" in the General section instead of the Tabs section, bug 720154 moved it to the Tabs section leading to your misunderstanding.
Bug 792210 has been filed to fix the wording so users will know it only applies to restoring sessions.
