You Write "... for a specific usage and the addon does not fit your wishes ..."
My idea is: Not so VERY specific (a search-url in a new tab) and I dare guess the wish of most people (focus on the search type-in line).
Now: I have to grab for the mouse to click in the type-in line. (or tab-key umpteen times) when the add-on just saved me a grab for the mouse to click on home-page icon.
Do you know of an about:config line that governs focus?

Another one that does not do what I would like ;-(
New Tab - Go to my homepage (Google)- AND put the cursor/Focus in the searchfield-bar!!!
Now: before I can type my searchterm I have to click the mouse in the searchfield: I could as well have clicked on the Homepage-picto to start with!

Hi, as I mentionned in the description of the addon, I do not support anymore this addon since Firefox has now the about:newtab page.
If you want to customize this page, I suggest you to do the following:
- go to about:config
- search for the key browser.newtab.url
- set the url of your choice.

And please, if you install an addon for a specific usage and the addon does not fit your wishes, stop rating them and especially with a low score. This prevails for my extension and others that you rated.
Thanks,
AM
