Disappointing, it doesn't work. Fx3.6 I open a new tab & it's a blank tab.

Not quite there yet.

It works but there is just one minor annoyance:

When a new tab opens, Firefox's Location bar is not focused on. Instead I have to type Ctrl + L to gain focus to the Awesome bar again. PLEASE FIX! (And yes, the home page I'm using does not have any forms on it that steal focus.)

Either than that, the New Tab Homepage works great! Thanks!

avg toolbar incompatible Rated 5 out of 5 stars

excellent and yes, it should be on the tab options page in Firefox. just amazing to me how a standard option like this is overlooked by the FF team.

Thank you! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thanks a bunch for this one which enables what really should be default behaviour in Firefox!

Thank god that this add-on has been updated, I've had to use Tab Mix Plus for the time being. This add-on is simple, excellent and just what any Firefox user should never do without.

I love this add on but 0.4.2 is broken! In the previous versions, when you press Ctrl + T to create a new tab, the caret is focused in the address bar. In the new versions, the focus is on the HTML document.

In other words, with 0.4.1 Ctrl + T then Tab will open a new tab and move the caret to the search box. In 0.4.2 Ctrl + T then Tab will select the first link on the home page.

I've e-mailed the author but haven't gotten a response yet. You can still downgrade to 0.4.1 from his web site http://cusser.net

Lost address bar focus on new tab Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It worked great till I updated to FF 3.5.7

Suddenly, whenever I open new tab, instead of having focus on address bar - QuickSeach opens. (when I start typing) Its terribly annoying, and it didnt work like the pre-3.5.7! Its also possible that it is conflicting with some other plugins of mine, but as soon as I removed "New Tab Homepage" - I got focus on address bar on CTRL+T (new tab)
..and typing resulted in typing URL, NOT searching text on page.

Why is this an add-on? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Can someone tell me why Firefox can't just put this as one of the options under Tools. Every time I install Firefox I have to go looking for add-ons like this one that should be part of the program. I like this feature and it works fine but I still don't understand why.

I will respect your answers then. Since you have submitted an update for 3.6 compatibility, I will give my review 5 stars because your add on works well when it's in sync with the browser version. I would like to point out that in the future, it may be nice to take into consideration, the many people that use it with a slightly newer major FF build than the latest stable one. Perhaps you could release a test version for said newer major FF builds on your own site, to use at your own risk.

No hard feelings and Thanks for your time.

OK. I apologize for my comments.
But waiting until the very last minute just because the FF beta versions may change slightly is not a good way to promote your product. Most current add on developers were or already on the ball with 3.6 compatibility long ago. Minor bugs can be worked out in the interim, at least you'd have more people being able to use it without the help of any other compatibility add ons. How long will your just submitted update take to pass review? Months at best?
Final 3.6 will be out in a week or so, I doubt it will be available by then. This is my point. Doesn't matter if I use it for free or not, it's out there for anyone to use. That being, it's not my task to keep it up to date for the people.

It's never been a problem so far

I've developed and released like this for about 6 years. Reviews usually take a day, or a few at the most. This, and the development time are far smaller than the gap between most Firefox release candidates and the actual Firefox release date.

Excellent add-on. However, can you make comparable with FF 3.6 and above?

You're exceptionally rude

1) Excuse me, but I owe you nothing. You have chosen to use my free product, I will work on it when I see fit and not to your timetable.

2) I have submitted an update, and it will be ready when it passes review.
