Has problems with Tab Mix Plus Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Love the extension, but it interferes with Tab Mix Plus. If I have BarTab installed then whenever I close a tab it will always go to the tab to the left, instead of to the tab on the right like I have it set via Tab Mix Plus. If this could be fixed I would be very grateful!

Helps to surf Faster Rated 3 out of 5 stars

A very helpful button makes me surf and visit pages in a go. I will give 6 out of 10 points to this addon and that on the basis of its benefits.

Good for the most part, but... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Nice and simple addon. I love addons like this that just do one thing rather than the ten million "features" of some of the tab addons.

In the end, I'm uninstalling because having the new tab button overrides the "Always show the tab bar" choice in Tools > Options > Tabs. I have that option unselected, so that when I have only one tab, the tab bar does not show. With this addon, the tab bar shows anyway, regardless of whether that option is selected or not.

Otherwise, a very nice, very slim addon. If the above paragraph doesn't bother you, then I highly recommend this addon.

Maybe you should try this first:
Right-click on an unused area in the toolbar > Customize... > Find the "new tab" button and place it wherever you want. (works with FF3)

This was one of the best Add-ons for Firefox. As Lee Fortner described; It is an essential tool in FF.
Not only does it make it easy to clear the final tab from the browser to get back to Fast Dial automatically (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5721); Instead of opening a new tab, Then going back to close the final tab I wanted to close in the first place. In other words; It allows you to close out all tabs with the [X] Including the last one. This also forces the tab bar to always show & the Tools>Options>Tabs "Always show tab doesn't work as it should. It makes it easier to use & more like Opera. My parents have a real hard time with this issue because we all use Fast Dial in the household. We really liked this Add-on.

To the author of this Add-on; Please rewrite for FF3. The other Add-on that Lee Fortner describes is NOT the same as your version; Yours is MUCH better.
Thank You So Much & I hope you still have time for this project. Thanks again Mike Goodspeed.

An Add-On for a New Tab? Rated 3 out of 5 stars

To Lee Fortner:
Just want to let you know that you don't have to click on an "empty" space to open a new tab. You Right-Click on "any" area of your toolbar, even on a tab that's in use, and you will get the context menu with the very first option being "open new tab." It does not have to be an empty space at all, just any space will get you a new tab! That's on F.Fx or IE. Right click in tab bar [anywhere], highlight "open new tab", click. Presto....new tab.

Perfect FF3 Replacement Rated 5 out of 5 stars

As someone below pointed out, and as far as I can tell, this one works the same in FF3:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/69

In an earlier review, someone said that FF3 already has this feature; you just double-click an empty space in the tab bar. This is NOT the same. As I look at my tab bar right now, I have seven open tabs already, and there is NO empty space to click on! This situation is where this button shines.

In Firefox just doubleclick on the empty space near tabs and a new tab will pop up! ;-)
