Eliminates one of the most undernoticed factor that disrupts focus when browsing: mouse. Great addon! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

An unexpected way to make Firefox ~30% faster, and most importantly, to keep myself focused! No more small muscle movements, visual search tasks, and switching modalities that are caused by using/switching to mouse. It's strange, how I now noticed the small pain hidden in each movement I was making, and how nice that it is now disappeared!

It's also much more fun to browse this way. Thank you for making me a happier person :)

Great Extension Rated 3 out of 5 stars

As a programmer i wanted to ditch the mouse, but the browser had always been a problem. This lets me do most of the work I do in a browser without needing a mouse! yay :)

Wonderful Extension Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm a moderate keyboard enthusiast and hate having to switch a hand over to operate a mouse. You've helped me almost completely remove the mouse aspect of browsing, sir, and I thank you for that. I'm sorry to hear that development has been suspended, but I hope to hear otherwise in the future. Outstanding extension. I have found no alternative yet that functions as well as this does. I use it in combination with firemacs and these two extensions have made my migration from chromium (chrome) to iceweasel (firefox) incredibly pleasant.

Best add-on I've ever used. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This has saved me from more pain than I can explain. I just came to this page again looking for a "Donate" button. So sorry to hear development is disabled.

I hope you change your mind Rudolf and stick with it.

GRRREAT add-on! Click on anything on page without using mouse.
This finally adds functionality similar to the much loved "access keys" feature in KDE's Konqueror.
And it's so highly customizable to act exactly the way you want. I set it to turn on only when I press ' charachter, and use letters instead of numbers for shortcuts, to and even changed the stylesheel to look eye-candy.
Thanks so much for creating this add-on.
Here's my custom stylesheet if you want to try:

font-family:arial, sans-serif; font-size:xx-small; line-height:130%;
border-radius:4px;
vertical-align:center;
margin-left:2px;
max-width:20px; max-height:10px;
overflow:visible;float:none;
color: #FFFFFF !important;
background-image: none;
padding: 4px 6px;
z-index: 991;
color: #FFFFFF;
font-weight: bold;
display: block;
background-color: #2D2D2D;
position:absolute;

i use css styles from LoL (HaH) addon.
these styles do not spoil the page.
(я использовал css стили от расширения LoL (HaH).
эти стили не портят страницу)

style for id span:
z-index:500;font:normal normal normal x-small helvetica;color:ButtonText;background-color:ButtonFace;border-color:ButtonShadow;border-width:1px;-moz-border-radius:0.3em;border-style:solid;padding:0px 3px 0px 3px;position:absolute;

style for frame id span:
z-index:500;font:normal normal normal x-small helvetica;color:ButtonText;background-color:ButtonShadow;border-color:ButtonShadow;border-width:1px;-moz-border-radius:0.3em;border-style:solid;padding:0px 3px 0px 3px;position:absolute;

It's very inconvenient to press numbers as shortcut. I wish it was just Shift+arrow keys like spatial navigation in Opera.

I wish the development wasn't suspended! This extension made me switch back from Chrome.

Only problem is that it misses clickables on GMail.

If you like keyboard browsing, or don't like mouse browsing, this add-on does a great job.

Only minus I found is that numbering is a bit slow and can mess up layout of pages such as gmail. But gmail is one of the most complex sites out there.

The add-on works out of the box but has loads of options if you want to tweak it.

Great but there is room for improvement Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a great addon, that have saved my right shoulder :--)

The main thing that I would like to be improved is that when I press the hotkey and I am in the middle of a page, MLB starts numbering links from the very beginning of the page, not from the top of what I see in my monitor and therefore very often have to press a shortcut with three digits, like "509", even though I actually see only 4-5 links

This is its main disadvantage compared to LoL another firefox keyboard navigation addon, less customizable though.

- worked as it should after installing--no need for me to configure.
- easy to use that even my six year old son understood when he saw me using it--then started using it himself.
- it didn't conflict with my other keyboard shortcuts.

I think Mouseless Browsing should improve performance when loading page, KeyboardNavigation of Google Chrome and NumberFox is too fast, I feel no delay when using those addon:

KeyboardNavigation: http://www.chromeextensions.org/appearance-functioning/keyboardnavigation/
NumberFox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/numberfox-6420/

It uses simple UI for display number so it's fast.

really feel good to this extension, i can less depend on my mouse now when i'm using laptop/nebook. ;)
my netbook is a standard small screen & lack of memory, so it's not convenient when i'm in facebook, gmail, google reader. A lot of links, numbers confuse me, slow in page load, layout become disorder... so i have to turn it off when i'm in these web. ;( but thanks to the shortcut also, i can on/off easily.
i like the concept and features, thanks.

OMFG... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Pardon my French, but this is... FUCKING PARADIGM SHATTERING - it's up there w/ movable type and the invention of the microchip.

Last night, I reached the end of my rope. Tired of tweaking my frozen shoulder every time I reached for the g-ddamn mouse, I decided to find a way to browse the web w/o one.

It's amazing how no one tells you what you don't know until you realize what it is you don't know! Why is the universe structured that way?

First, I found mouseless tips for Firefox, i.e., hitting the "Delete" key to go back a page. Holy Smokes! I committed 10 or so to memory, then found this site last night. I downloaded the mouseless browsing add-on and went to sleep.

This morning, I hit Google and felt like someone had dosed my coffee. For an hour, I was convinced the ID tags next to my hyperlinks were part of a new Google program that were incorporated into the search engine last night as I slept!

I couldn't get over the fact that Google had implemented the capability the day after started my quest! Maybe there is a G-d after all! What does my life mean? After (unsuccessfully) searching for a Google Help Desk to get to the bottom of things, I found a link back to this site and realized what had happened.

I've settle down a bit, but am still pondering the revolutionary nature of my discovery!
