Mobile Barcoder Version History
Be careful with old versions!
These versions are displayed for reference and testing purposes. You should always use the latest version of an add-on.
This is a bugfix release, fixing the reference to Google's qrcode generator, and removing Nokia as an option as they have abandoned their qrcode service.
When the toolbar button is clicked, a new tab will open with the mobile code image, so you can save the file or use it in other ways.
Added Japanese and German localisations.
Fixed a bug with Unicode text/URLs not being encoded properly.
This version adds an option for which provider server to use to generate the mobile codes. Choices are Nokia, Kaywa and Google. It now defaults to Google rather than using Nokia's server, since Nokia's server seems to have been very unstable.
This version brings a major update for functionality. Firstly the addition of options to give the choice between QR Code or Data Matrix, and also size. This version also supports localisation, so if anyone would like to help translate the extension into another language, please get in touch, details are on my blog.
I hope this update resolves pretty much all of the suggestions/issues people had until now. Keep the comments coming, I'll try and include any good feature suggestion.
New features added in this version include the ability to create barcodes from the context menu for links and text selections
This version makes the barcode visible however long you hover over the hotspot.
Updated version information for Firefox 2.0. Only change is on the server side to fix a bug where URLs containing '&' characters were not encoded correctly.
This version has a statusbar item to hover over, which shows a barcode for the current page.
