The most important addon since the builtin fullscreen feature was ruined with the automatically appearing browsing bar!

Minimode--- nicely done !!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

My compliments to the designer.
May I suggest that the minimode toggle function be accessible by mouse click ?
Maybe right clicking the Status Bar or something like that.
Thanks

Awesome! +1 Suggestion Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Simply an awesome addition deserving a lot more attention.

The only thing i am missing is the option to hide even the Win Explorer Titlebar and Borders. To have a real Fullscreen behavior in Windowed Mode.

Thanks for this great contribution.

Incredible, little users, to such Very useful addon
Posible Reasons
Try to search in extension the terms "hide toolbar" in results dont appear minimode or search the word "toolbar" in the all the webpage.
Screenshot an description upgrade and Consiceness, maybe a feature list.
To me the most important improvement is a way to notice the active bar, and include Sidebar and Findbar
But as It is the Best extension DOING THE JOB deserves 5

Очень удобно при работе на ноутбуке, освобождает место и вместе с тем не закрывает весь экран

Great addon! Love the Shy Statusbar you made, also.

doesn't work right Rated 2 out of 5 stars

For some reason I can't get the bookmarks bar and address bar to display at the same time. If I have them both selected in the options menu, only the address bar will display. Very disappointing because this seems like a great idea. I'm going to keep fiddling around, but this seems like an uninstall :(

Very useful addon. Would you add the ability to change the hotkey, also the ability to show/hide at least the tab bar or even better all the bars while in minimode by hovering the mouse up there just like the normal fullscreen mode, would be faster to move between tabs without the hotkey. It would be perfect then. Good work, thank you.

There is a small bug: when in mini-mode with "hide tabs in mini-mode" on, if I click on a link with the middle mouse button, the tabs are displayed again.

Great addon. It's important to note that this mode can be applied to each Firefox window individually. Although I'm not on a netbook (on the contrary, this system has very large screens), this is very useful for certain tasks.

For example, I have a second monitor where I like to pin information in second windows - this information isn't usually the focus of my work, but I would like it to be available at a glance. This extension allows the window to be streamlined so that it takes a minimal amount of space (since I don't need to change the page or anything else).

Great extension; works exactly as advertised!

Works just like the full screen option already available but with much needed options. I always use the Ctrl+L to type a new URL or Ctrl+K for search which is now set to bring up google. You have catered for all my needs, kudos. Updates?

Excellent!!! - Superior to Hide GUI Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is an excellent addon for those who appreciate browsing real estate but find full screen mode to be to much. The addon allows hiding selected toolbars with a shortcut key. The toolbars to be toggled are selected by the user. Unlike the "Hide GUI bars" extension, Minimode allows hiding toolbars added by other extensions.

Suggestions:
(1) Option to change keyboard shortcut
(2) Option to open the location bar with shortcut (ctrl+L) instead of opening the dialog box as it currently does. The dialog box recognizes keywords for searches but not tab opening settings (it will always open in current tab)
(3) Option to show hidden toolbars on mouseover (like a customizable full screen mode.) FF's full screem mode automatically show/hides all toolbars including the tabbar (which I always want visible) and it also over lays the FF window over the Windows' Taskbar (which I also want accessible always). This is why I came to like Minimode so much.

Bjørn: Thanks for Minimode. It is a great addon. It really enhances my browsing experience. I wonder why it is still experimental?

PS: Could someone post a script to toggle Minimode using Firegestures . This will rock!

You can start firefox in mini-mode. It's the best thing about this addon, really, since I don't like using the menu bar and bookmark bar that often. Very elegant even with just the default theme and works well with 'hide caption title bar'.
My firefox browser in now sleeker than any chrome even with a skin. Much thanks.
