Excellent addon, I have been using it for years.

HOWEVER: Firefox 32 has broken Menu Editor.

I hope someone can fix it.

How to save our Customisation (SOLVED) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A very usefull addon, but it don't give to us the possibility to save our preferences...

But yes, manually, that's possible :
Find in your previous/old Firefox Profile the:
and copy /paste it in the NEW profile ....
And all is ok.

Thanks for the author, with an automatic backup this addon is the best.
An update?

Replacement Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Menu Editor has served me well for years, cleaning up the mess after the various addons I use. But the time has come to replace it. The addon "Menu Filter" offers the same functionality (except menu hiding), works with all menus and is up to date. Try it out.

There's no way to contact the developers? Anyway, would it be possible to implement a settings save feature that can be imported/exported? This way one can take their settings to other browsers on different platforms. There are just so many settings to honestly have to go thru all of it again. I hope this can be done in the near future. Thank You for your hard work.

Really useful! I look forward to more!
there full of commands to modify, but I saw that there should be new features, eager to see an update! ^^
In any case it is really useful, both in visual and productive term, and it would be nice to create "subfolders" in addition to the separators, we could organize objects by themes!

Menu Editor Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I love this add-on, but it's not perfect. You can't hide things under the bookmarks menu. It would be truly perfect if you could hide that Unsorted Bookmarks folder.

Very helpful extension - should be standard Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This, along with Tab Mix Plus, Colorful Tabs, Session Manager, Converter and Find Bar Tweak is indeed one that Mozilla should include as an option by default.

But what is missing is an Export or Import setting feature. where are the settings stored?

Thanks. Peace By Jesus

Doesn't work with all addons/menu items Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It's a novel concept, one that is needed in the addon community, but this doesn't work like it should. It does a good job editing the default context items, and some addon items are shown, but we NEED the ability to edit ALL context menu items. I think that Mozilla should include this option in the browser by default.

Very Useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

With this add-on now i have a very small context menu.

Excellent addon. Finally I can remove (hide) menu items I never use, also allows you to rearrange menu items, and that's cool.

Seems that it can't collect items which are added dynamically on certain pages (my own extension adds item to youtube only page). Can't find my added item in your edit lists. Is it some workaround for this? Like inserting regex (or complete item string itself) to your list, so it can check for it even of it has been added only on certain pages dynamically. One of me reviewers asked me to. Thanks.

Empty menus Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Needs to be updated. When opening menus from the menu bar or from right-clicking it will open an empty transparent menu. You have to repeatedly open the menu to fix it. Using FF 28.

in the last nightly releases, back/fwd, stop/reload and bookmark are replaced by icons

when plugin is enabled, empty lines show up instead of old commands/new icons

One of the best! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I couldn't live without this extension! I've been using it for years in both Firefox and Thunderbird, and it's simply one of the best, most useful add-ons I've ever used.

I'm unsure why some are saying it doesn't work in Firefox 29. I'm having no problems with it since upgrading. I'm now using 29.0.1, and it's still working fine for me.

It does seem that there's no active development being done on this, so I'm worried that it will stop working one day soon, but so far so good.

BTW, even though Thunderbird claims it's incompatible with the latest versions (like, the last 24 versions!), it still works perfectly.

You have to disable automatic uninstall of add-ons considered incompatible to get it to install in Thunderbird. (Alternatively, you could edit the install.rdf file to change the maximum version of Thunderbird that it works with.)

I can't right click and search from the context menu using this add-on. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It worked for me in FF29 in Windows 8.1 but I had to uninstall it because it removed the ability to right click and search. Other then that it looked be a great add-on I'm sorry not to be able to use it.

Works (for me) with FF29.x on a Mac Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Unless it's a platform-specific problem or addon conflict for others using this addon, for me at least on my Mac, I see no noticeable problems with Menu Editor. It appears to work just as it did in versions prior to updating to FF29.
