Great add-on that has many uses for everyone.

The only real problem I've found is that Dr. Web lags the whole Safety service, and always results in "not applicable".
Unless the results are within my cache, it always lags.
When I try to visit its site details myself, my browsers always takes forever loading.
Therefore disabling it is the only viable option

Hopefully this will be fixed (by either Dr. Web or LinkExtend) in the future.

This add-on really is a very well thought out and useful tool for knowing just how safe a website might be before you actually go to it and adding other functionality to your searches (optional page previews, context menus etc.)

For the most part it is easy to customise so that you can get only the information you want, disable things you don't want and generally tweak to make it do what you want.

It would be nice if they made it possible to remove the Link Extend toolbar for people (like myself) who dislike having it there, even if it can be hidden in the same way as the Navigation and Bookmark toolbars that come with Firefox.

I think the add-on is impressive and useful, however the main reason I'm having to give this add-on a 4 in stead of a 5 star review is the fact that it occasionally redirects my google searches to search for "hp"... while this may only be an inconvenience in that you only have to click 'back' to get the search results that you entered, it rubs many people (again my self included) the wrong way to have an add-on hijacking your searches, no matter how useful it might be.

Great add-on, and once the 'HP redirect' issue has been corrected, one that I strongly recommend to all.

the hp redirection seems to be a bug
Temporary fix, switch your homepage to http://www.google.com/firefox instead of using google.com

Love the tool BUT I just got recently a problem. When i search something on Google it directs me to searches for HP. When I then clikc the previous page it goes to what I was searching.

I deinstalled FF and stuff but that didn't work. Hellllpppp.

The The best of the bunch. Period. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent - at last I've found you!

WOT's a mess; AVG LinkScanner takes over your computer and puts Yahoo all over the place; SiteAdvisor has turned into the very popup-ridden malware it is supposed to keep away.

This utilizes all the databases around and summarizes them through an in-browser (only) bit of expertise we can all adapt to do and display as much or as little as we want.

People [like me] need to know that NO TOOLBAR MUST APPEAR up top... whatever buttons you want from the standard LinkExtend toolbar (as configured by you) can be moved, individually, to some other toolbar you are keeping. Then you can hide the LinkExtend toolbar (via View>Toolbars); the "stolen" buttons will still function. I know other users made similar comments, but if it were made much clearer in the description...

Anyway, bravo to the developers.

very very good extension! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

one of the best ideas ive ever seen in a firefox extension. in theese times where so many websites are dangerous in different ways, this extension is a must-have!

And contrary to what some reviewers have said: It is NOT obtrusive. The toolbar can be removed, and its buttons changed to different postition, intead. The search the toolbar provides is ONLY provided in the toolbar (and thus, is easily hidden). And the information buttons in itself are small, whilst very informative.

This is also one of theese extensions that does exactly what they say, and then some more. But sticks to being relevant, and does not go overboard. I keep finding new useful things in this all the time.

With this, WOT is completely redundant, as well as a few google enhancer tools.

I used LinkExtend daily on my friend's computer for a month and when I got back home I had to have it on mine. Love the sense of security I get when I see LE's all clear. Thanks loads!

Johnson786 it is easy to fix: just drag the buttons on the menu toolbar or bookmarks toolbar. For me, I just use the safety, site traffic siteTools buttons. And all works fine. I also uninstalled Wot, because I prefer having opinion pool on site safety. Also I use sometime the context menu supersearch because i can search by theme.

Useful & working! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

In my case LinkExtened took the place of several others extensions. It's really helpful. Just try it!

I like this much better than Web of Trust, which people's emotions influence way too much.

Though WOT is included, I like having the ratings of the other services, since I'm more concerned with malware/spyware than content and morality.

I usually hide the toolbar itself and if needed, a right-click and a checkmark brings it right up so that's no big deal and the program isn't intrusive at all.

As soon as you guys add the ability to block harmful sites (ala WOT) I could see this become a major Firefox add-on

Versatile Tool!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you for this wonderful link tool. I am amazed at all that it can do, like letting you look right inside a website before you're actually there. Had a problem using the options in Firefox Tools, but the options work fine in the LinkExtend menu. I love that I can tailor it to suit my needs in so many different ways. I highly recommend it.

A great tweak for my surfing routine! I especially liked the SiteTools button which practically lets you access all the cool stuff in web-page without the burden of actually go over the entire page and looking for that link, file or whatever. Great Job, Linkular!
