It's a very, very sad that this brilliant tiny thing is not updated anymore nor integrated into core

Great Add-on; no longer updated Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is yet another of the many add-ons to be rendered obsolete by Mozilla's insane release schedule. It is also one of the many that I need enough to keep me using Firefox 3.6 for as long as possible.

Tabbed browsing is great, but I often open way too many tabs, and I need a convenient way to temporarily store some URLs without bookmarking them or keeping the tabs open. This fits the bill.

While it would be nice if it had more features (e.g. displaying the tab title instead of URL, and perhaps an export option like CopyAllURLs), it nevertheless does the job needed.

It'd be great to see an update--but it'd be even better if Mozilla gave up this insane release schedule so we can actually use add-ons without constant update issues.

Works as expected, but... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

...No Fx4 version? :/

Under Firefox 4 it doesn't show nothing, I have a bunch of links saved there but it appears empty.

godsent! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

As a compulsive collector of web content i'm constantly cluttering my desktop with url shortcuts. When i say clutter i mean i pretty much fill the screen :/
This addon is godsent!
If you ever add some more functionalities, please consider allowing folders to be created (look into the 'Colour that Site' addon for a cool way to structure them).
Also, it would be nice to have a context menu option to add a page to the pad, or maybe an icon in the address bar, or better yet a keyboard shortcut. The process of adding pages at the moment is a little slow and contrived (only reason i'm not giving this addon a full score).

Thanks for your effort, love this add-on soooo much but I'm totally agree with the previous reviewer,
I think modifying feature in link pad is necessary, something like title and description,
and the links are organized well in folders or tree-styled as we like.

can u make it show link name instead of link location ?? , also can u make all stored links retrievable
>> meaning , if this add-on is uninstalled or firefox profile gets deleted ,
re-installing this addon or restoring firefox profile will bring all the links back ???

Your summary doesn't tell people what it does. Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Your disclaimer should come last not first. Going to try this out though.

ooops, sorry about the one star, I forgot to change it. I was to give it a four, so it'll round it's self out, if it lets me.

Thank you so much for bringing this addon back to life, Hotosega. I loved Netscape, and will really miss it...

A great extension for saving those links that "you'll look at later!"

jkhamlin: It's not nonsensical. The Link Pad is meant for temporary storage of links. If you're planning on keeping them longer, that's what bookmarks are for.

Great extension. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because, by default, it removes stored links when you open them. I have permanently lost a few websites because of this nonsensical option default.

This feature was the single reason that I used Netscape over Firefox in the waning days of that browser.

I missed it terribly and am glad to see that someone is maintaining it. In the meantime, you might also check out an add-on called "bookstack" which has similar function.

Copy other Netscape Feature Please! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Can you please copy netscape's multiple bookmark bar feature?

The bookmark bar is one line, but with an ability to switch from one type to another (ie) Bookmarks for home, for work, etc.

Thank you for reviving the old Netscape Link Pad, I miss Netscape so much! Why oh why did it have to die? Firefox could not exist without it, could it? Netscape is the first browser with the Gecko layout engine and then it started being based on Firefox which made me confused. But can you update all of the netscape addons? I love them!

Great add-on. Thank you for reviving it.
May I suggest a couple of features that would make it even better?
- Ability to create groups/folders of links
- Ability to "Open all links in a group"

i love this add-on, but the drag-and-drop feature is overridden by the tab tearing feature of Firefox 3.5... i hope it would be resolved soon.

I didn't test it because from the description, I don't know what it is for (just where it comes from, which is among the last things I want to know when installing an add-on)

thaks a lot!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thanks for this job
I was missing this add-on, as I miss netscape too. Something good that reminds me it into firefox.

Gracias por revivirlo, lo extrañaba asi como extraño a netscape. Algo bueno que me lo recuerda en lo nuevo, en firefox.
I hope can continue using it, thanks to you.

Gracias de nuevo y espero continuar usandolo gracias a vos.

[sorry my bad english]
