On a Mac? Make sure you have Growl installed! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Curiously this add-on fails to work correctly without Growl installed. So just install it :-)

Great. I like the ability to use multiple feeds. I care about all production builds and failures from integration branches. I can easily configure it and its out of the way when not in use

... but when will it finally be out of the sandbox?
Mozilla, anyone listening?

Hi, an AMO editor started the review process few days ago. So hopefully everything is alright for the approval.

Great Add-on, makes my job a little easier. Updating from a previous version of the add-on worked perfectly. Only knock would be the lack of a button in the preferences to add a feed but that is a very minor issue on an otherwise great add-on.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0).

Thanks for the review. You can add a feed on the preferences window by double clicking the cell on the Feed URL column within the Feeds table. Just paste your Hudson feed URL there, name is optional.
Though I think it's easier to use the right click menu 'Add Link To Build Monitor' to add the Hudson feed to be monitored.

I even blogged about it. I had a prior negative review. I TAKE IT BACK!

It works ;)

I don't like the additional "Add Link to Hudson Build Montor"
I don't reorganize my Hudson very often. ...

fixed in v1.0

Starting BuildMonitor v1.0, "Add Link to Hudson Build Monitor" menu only appears when you right click on Hudson feed links. It should no longer clutter other links' right click menu on the page.

User Experience could be a bit higher, but as a start it's really nice!
Add your feed by double-clicking on the Preference page in the Feeds area below Feed URL.

Right click menu to add feed

You can add a feed by simply right clicking on the feed link and select 'Add Link To Hudson Build Monitor'

It's documented on the wiki, and demoed in the usage video.
I will add this info to the default tooltip as well.

Great plugin! Very useful for monitoring Hudson status without generating spam.

Can use when URL is proxied internally Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I REALLY want to use this. I can't however, because I have hudson installed behind a straight domain that gets proxied internally to 127.0.0.1:8080. For some reason, the feed list won't accept my URL.

This is more of a request for enhancement, as captured in Issue 3020 https://hudson.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=3020 .

Doesnt work Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Simply installed the plugin then tried to add a RSS link from Hudson by using the context menu (using Firefox 3.0.5 on OSX).

A little popup appears saying:
Unable to add link to Hudson Build Monitor
Please remove one of the existing feeds.

However, there are no feeds in the monitor yet, so I cannot remove anything.

Too bad, would have like to have this plugin work.

I have raised HUDSON-2979 in issue tracker to represent this possible bug. https://hudson.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=2979

Quite useful. It would be even better if adding feeds to the monitor is more intuitive.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.2).

Thank you for the review.
Adding a feed can be done via right click menu on a link and select "Add Link to Hudson Build Monitor". It's not as easy / as obvious when you're trying to add the feed url directly on the preferences windows.
Ideas for making the process of adding feeds to be more intuitive are always welcome.

Perfect extension to the hudson CI system.

The only feature I miss is the possibility to trigger a new build direct from plugin.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.2).

Thank you for the review.
Triggering a build was implemented in version 0.9.1, though it's still limited to job-feed monitoring. Triggering build on the latest N builds of a Hudson-feed will be added in the future.

Very handy plugin which shows your hudson instances conditions as nice symbols down in the right corner of ff. As builds complete statusboxes pop up for some odd seconds and fades away again.
