Be careful with old versions!
These versions are displayed for reference and testing purposes. You should always use the latest version of an add-on.
The new method seems to work quite nicely. A tip is to leave the definitions window open - next time you want a definition it will load faster as the existing window will be re-used.
Let me know what you think of this! I'm also considering adding a panel at the bottom of the tab, like the Split Pannel extension.

I've tried to put this together fairly quickly so there may be a few bugs.
Please use https://bitbucket.org/eug48/inline-google-definitions-firefox to report issues and play with the source code.
You can now close the definitions window by right-clicking inside it
OK, I've finally managed to see the compatibility problem after doing a fresh install...Hopefully it will be fixed by this version bump - I'm not sure what the problem is yet..
