Meet the IE Developer

Why was IE created?

When I first installed Firefox, I saw "Reload" instead of "Refresh", "Bookmarks" instead of "Favourites", etc. It didn't stop me from using Firefox, but it could stop others - at least, it's inconvenient. When Firefox can easily have any theme, any appearance, why cannot it have any wording? It can, so I started working at the language pack. If you see anything unfinished here, email me or write in the review - I'll do my best to solve the problem.

The most difficult thing is the fact that with every new release of Firefox I have to do the same dull job again. 3.5 and 3.6 both were tiring for me. So don't be surprised if something doesn't work - just write to me!

What's next for IE

The language pack grows as it contains both old and new ways of doing the same. Maybe, I'll try to optimize it if Firefox team gives me some free time and will not release Firefox 3.7 too soon.

Maybe, I'll make language pack for Fennec or Thunderbird. Google and patience could help me create an Arabic or Chinese version of this language pack. But time is too small to do everything.

If there will be more reviews and users of the language pack, I might try to nominate it, despite copyright issues. But, in the end, word "Favourites" isn't copyrighted, and Misocraft doesn't pretend to be a subsidiary of Microsoft.
