It's not a 64-bit issue Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I got to my office PC with Waterfox x64 and IdentFavicon worked fine. Same add-ons. It must have been an old add-on left behind in the about:config junk of Waterfox.
Don't know why Google Chrome users put up with crappy favicon support. I suppose they have eagle eyes for text rather than the favicons (Chrome loses even the assigned site favicons - and people keep complaining to no effect).
I'm glad we got that sorted out! :-)

It worked on my 32-bit Firefox but not my 64-bit Pale Moon or Waterfox. This is the only extension or plug-in not to work with 64-bit. So I switched back to 32-bit because I can't live without Identfavicon.
Do you have a place to donate? I didn't see one?
Hm, weird. My code doesn't contain anything 32 bit specific. I don't have a donation button, never thought about adding one.
No longer works! Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I've stayed with FF mostly because of this little add-on but now it doesn't generate on my FF 8.0.1. The version says up to 9 in the config but no work - it throws up a dotted line box for everything -- worse than the Google default. PLEASE fix or develop for Chrome because more and more great FF add-ons seem to be "dying."This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.4.6.1-signed.1-signed).
The dotted line is the new FF8 default for blank favicons. I'm running FF8.0 on multiple machines, and I assure you, IdentFavIcon works smoothly. Perhaps there's a conflict with another add-on, which might have been updated for FF8. It would help me a lot if you could track down which add-on this could be. I suggest that you first try IdentFavIcon in a freshly created profile, without any other add-ons installed. Chrome development is on my list, but I don't know when I will have the time for it.
