Where body for request?
How i can send json to server?

Excellent tool for testing REST APIs ... best part is that it uses the Browser's cookies so authentication is not part of the tool Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It is a very simple POST mechanism. You will want to have a web-site or tool handy that can URL-Encode your parameters.

In response to patrickjason91, the way to access this extension is to go to the Firefox menu > Web Developer > HTTP Resource Test. I agree with him that it is ludicrous to not put this simple piece of information in an obvious place, hence only 3 stars.

how'd you even use this? No usage example, where is the link to using this. Useless...

Keeping it simple just work for this extension. Have exactly what you need to send HTTP requests.

I use this tool to craft and issue HTTP POST to see the responses.

Very happy with the simplicity and speed of this tool. It's always nice when something "just works".

I would really appreciate being able to set/modify request headers (such as "If-Modified-Since", "Accept-Encoding" and others). It would set this extension apart from others such as HttpFox

Great quick update Rated 4 out of 5 stars

thanx for this quick update to FF 3.6

What I'd also like :
- the TRACE HTTP method
- possibility to write custom method name (like WebDAV methods)
- possibility to see the response body directly in the browser (usefull for XML & HTML response, but also for JSON response with JSON View plugin)
- possibility to fix any other HTTP header in the request
- provide other interface than a new window (side-panel, or like FireBug)

Good tool, but JSON Content-type support and this tool would rock!

The EXACT tool I was looking for; made my web service development significantly quicker already.

Note: It seems to work just fine in Firefox 3.6 for me (so far); I just had to download it manually and change the install.rdf file.

So far this is the best REST web service tester I have used for Firefox. I would love to see JSON supported as a type available to post with.

I really hope this add-on is updated for 3.6 soon. I miss being able to use this add-on.

Great Add on!

I have been working with PHP for a project creating a very dynamic site which does a lot of processing with request headers.

This add-on has been a great value to me allowing me to send all the different HTTP methods and accept types and see the servers response to trace errors and fix problems.

Very easy to use, it is as simple as selecting what I want to send and just press the submit button to complete the request.

I can view the Servers Response Header and also the Body of the Response.

Simple to use, self explanatory, and simply, it just works!

I will give it a 5 start because it does exactly what I wanted, there is not other equivalent add on that performs multiple method types. And because it very simple to use.

Again thanks a lot, and great job on this add on once again.
