I even can't believe it, thanks a lot!

Working great in Fedora 18 with Firefox 18 and Gnome 3.6 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Not sure why the author made this Windows only, but it's working just fine in Fedora 18 with Firefox 18 and Gnome 3.6.

Glad to know that it works well on LINUX!

Glad to know that it works well on LINUX!

I simply didn't marked new versions Linux-compatible because I couldn't test them yet in such systems, that's all :)
I'm about to announce here (at AMO page) a new BETA version with many changes that I'll release @ support site, for everyone to try.
Tks!

Great Add-on! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Thanks for this great add-on!! It really helps me a lot!

I've just one suggestion to you: It would be sooo nice, if the page title, that I have chosen to be displayed in the add-on-bar, was not shown in bold letters... These bold letters are a waste of precious space and they also pull too much attention! If you could change it, it totally would become a 5 star add-on or even more! Just keep on doing your great job!! :)

Really a superb addon. A must-have if you want to manage the screen real-estate :-)

Request to the developer: Can you please add the features of "Autohide Tabbar" into this addon? Looks like these two addons cannot co-exist. I think adding autohiding feature of tabbar enhances the features even further.

Great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

What I find most interesting about this extension is its "customizability". My own preferences and additional customizations, as well as experience with your version for Thunderbird would suggest the following options:
1. Display title in title bar the traditional way while still using the Firefox orange button (I do that with userChrome, so I have small tabs and still see the full title.
2 Display full menus under the Firefox button, just like you did under the Thunderbird button.
3. Luxury would be to have a few colour options just like the Thunderbird button has.

Hint for Linux users Rated 5 out of 5 stars

For those who couldn't install this great addon on Linux, I say you *can* install it ;-)Click on "Add to Firefox" - it'll say that the addon is not compatible with your system, but click on "Install for Windows anyway" (I think this is it)... et voilà :-)
Just to mention... I'm using it on Firefox 17.0.1 and Linux Mint 13, and it's working great ;-)

I use Firefox 16.0.1 on Linux Mint 13 (with Cinnamon 1.6.1) & can install Hide Caption Titlebar Plus version 2.6.0 but can't install version 2.7.x! (it show "Not available for your platform")

Simply the best Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Love this addon. Just wonder if you would go one step further to add tweaks for the vertical scroll bar (width and skin), making your addon a complete UI solution. Thanks a million.

Need for Thunderbird Version Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Enjoy ;-)

No longer works Rated 2 out of 5 stars

It's likely a compat issue with my extensions & browser ver (3.6.28+).. but I have 2 bars at top, the transparent location/menubar (all in 1 bar), and the win7 transparent caption bar above that.

When I install this extension, I get a half-height opaque title bar. :-( It may be half a bar less space, but its darn uglier.

Of course I will admit to be a bit strange -- like setting my background IN THE BROWSER to transparent...
and having web content display on my desktop...

Problem with that was it was hard to move the 'window' around and resize it..(not impossible, just hard)... AND ... I usually have a variable background pic and depending on the pic it either worked very well, or it was pretty unreadable.

If only I could get an opposite color fringe around the lettering or a shadow, like the desktop does on it's text. Then it would always be readable.

Here's a pic of my extensions page:

The green part was my desktop... an old foxgirl logo was my 'about blank' background..so the extensions page plotted on top of an about blank... rather confusing...

http://imageshack.us/a/img14/9225/ffgoneinvis2.jpg

But if I had this extension installed, I would have had a half-height opaque bar at the top of the browser -- delineating it -- which, in that particular situation might not have been a bad thing... But barring such extremes, when I want the at least the edges to be transparent, having it come up opaque was a bummer.

Can' you apply the mini window function buttons to the stop of the highest toolbar (in my case would be the menu bar (which doubles as my location bar) -- menu is hidden away in 'personal menu'...(the extension)..

Was neat when it used to work...sigh.

P.S. Please let the user decide on an icon for the menu -- like personal menu -- nice and unobtrusive rather than a 1 orange-fits all, jarring color...good for getting attention, but you don't always want attention on the menubar....

P.P.S. why is this review flagged for review? weird.

Firefox 3.6.* is an ancient version. However I've installed it again but no issues found yet.

I thought I was stuck with chromium-browser with it's option to hide 'system title bar and borders' on my Netbook's tiny 11" screen. Stuck no more, Firefox is back! This 'Hide Caption Titlebar...' extension is excellent!

Just what I needed Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Awesome, just what I was looking for! Was able to reclaim a tiny bit more of my screen (using Linux, so firefox doesn't hide the title bar when maximized by default).

Fixes a major annoyance: in full-screen mode the Windows bar refuses to appear.
The only snag with this, and I understand it is not the developer's fault, is that the icons right of the urlbar are hidden by the min/max/close icons. Only way I've found to resolve this is to right click toolbar>customize then add or subtract a separator or space icon.

Thanks a lot for this one. Its the reason why I'm still on FF v.11.0. This should be 'built in', but I guess that Mozilla is too busy to keep their idiotic update cycle going to actually do something for the user. I'm afraid we will soon see the demise of a once very good browser.

Works on PaleMoon as well.

great add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

can't always tell if there will be an add-on for a minor irritation with Firefox, this one does the job. screen real estate is important so why have a quarter inch of unused space on the top of FF window. this little app fixes that by moving the menu bar up into unused space. cool and simple.
