Why was gui:config created?
After using Firefox for many months I was interested in the technologies behind all the extensions that make Firefox as easy to personalize as we know it. At the same time I was reading about useful options that unfortunately are buried in the about:config list.
That was the moment gui:config was born. As its name suggests its main goal is to provide a much easier to use user interface as opposed to the plain list of option keys that a user has to strugle with when opening "about:config".
What's next for gui:config
While for the last releases (version 1.0 and 1.1) I focused on making the extension more stable, I'm planning to include many more options and release new versions more frequently in the future.
