Nice Update Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very nice and usefull addon, can't live without it, but ... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Grab'n Drag is one of the first addons I add to a freshly installed Firefox. Unfortunately, since last version, G'nD is conflicting with the context menu (right click). Both with middle or left mouse button.
My configuration : Linux + Aurora 23.

I hope it will be fixed very soon.
Thanks for making Firefox even better...

Fix is on the way

Thanks for the quick feedback, and apologies to everyone on Linux and OS X for the context menu bug introduced in v3.2.3. A new, fixed version is being submitted to Mozilla today for review and hopefully will push to users quickly. Until then you can revert to 3.1.9 here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/grab-and-drag/versions/?page=1#version-3.1.9

problem in linux with 3.2.3 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Yes, great add-on, but version 3.2.3 in linux breaks the right-click menu (at least in forms and text boxes) when drag is set to left button.

You can reinstall the previous version (3.1.9) here:

Having trouble with the last update Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I have been always extremely happy to use this addon until today with the last update. I'm on linux and I'm using grab and drag with the left click, after this last update I'm not more able to use the right context popup menu when I'm using this addon, so i had to switch on the right click to use it properly. I hope u will find a solution for this little bug because i was always used to use it with the left click. Thanks for the great work.

Awesome Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was actually just looking for something that would let me drag around large full-size images, and this includes that ability. But now that I installed this, I find myself using it all the time during normal web navigation. I pretty much never have to click scroll bars anymore. A great idea and works very smoothly and reliably, with more options than you'll ever need. Simply awesome. Thank you.

Suggestion Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Hello, Ian!
Thank you very much for this tremendous unique add-on. It made my life easier :)
There is one feature which I can't find. Is it possible to make page "grabbed" so you can scroll through it without holding button? That would be very handful for laptop users.
Thanks in advance, Ian!

Great, but the momemtum scrolling is too fast on a wacom Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great work!
However, when using it with a wacom tablet (bamboo) I haven't found any settings for the momemtum scrolling that doesn't send it to the stratosphere. It might be because those wacoms have high resolution, and this addon is designed for touch tablets, with finger scroll. There the resolution is tiny.

Is there any workaround?

This is a great plugin, however I have a bug report: I tend to use the 'search for text when i start typing' feature to quickly focus hyperlinks by typing - I then use the Enter key to follow a hyperlink. When this plugin is enabled this doesn't work unless I have already clicked on any link with the mouse. One click is enough for it to work normally throughout whole browsing session. I have tested this with a blank profile and came up with the same results.

Why on Earth do developers take away useful functionality and not leave in an option for those that use it. Please, oh please, add back the functionality to automatically have the cursor change when you're over text. I get that I can just drag and it'll change modes, but the hand cursor is absolutely useless for determining where the selection is going to start.

This is an incredibly useful plugin, made much more useless by having removed that small but significant detail.

I agree 100% that this would be a good option to have, and I've looked into adding it on multiple occasions. Unfortunately, it seems to be surprisingly difficult to make Firefox do this in a consistent, unobtrusive manner. If you must have the text selection cursor, you can choose "Default cursor" as your mouse cursor in the "More options" tab of the options menu, but you won't have the hand then. Or, you can make do with the hand icon and just remember that the text selection always begins at the tip of the middle finger of the hand.

Great, am using it all the time.
Can you add the option to quicktoggle by dragging horizontally on links too?

Add-on destroyed Rated 1 out of 5 stars

After the latest big update, it's not possible to select text without clicking on it first. It's become absolutely user-unfriendly and unusable.

I love this add-on!!! I've been using this for a long time and to tell the truth reviewing it and giving it a 5-STAR is one of the reasons that I created an account. I used to use it (and still do) on my now old Samsung Q1U touchscreen tablet and it was lifesaver! From there I got addicted to it :P and now I use it on my laptop too :) ... LOVE IT!

Good concept, buggy Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Keeps "forgetting" it's settings, I need to use the setup utility about once a month to get it back to 3 button mouse mode, resets to the default pen mode about that often.

A fantastic plugin for touch screen users, however the CPU usage is very high when scrolling, presumably due to the fact that it doesn't have any cache of sorts to lower the strain of rendering on the computer, which is annoying because it can cause battery drain. Otherwise it's a great plugin.
