Great extension. Please support Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I've been using this for years. I especially like two features: opening the search results in a new tab; and using Shift+Enter to search the current site. The standard search bar has neither of these features.
Anyone who knows anything about developing FF extensions: please take over the support of this. Pretty please.
It still works great with Firefox 55 ... Rated 5 out of 5 stars
but unfortunately will not work any longer with FF 57 as the website indicates that “This extension is no longer officially supported” :-(
Useful Toolbar! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Good Googlebar Replacement Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I grudgingly made the switch to the lite version of the Googlebar but I found that it basically does what I need it to do. The only thing neither of them do is list your prior searches starting with the most recent. I don't understand why I see listed searches that aren't even recent.
Useful with ease Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Loving it mainly for the text highlighter.
nice one Rated 5 out of 5 stars
the only thing i miss is different history. i'd like to have always the last searches on the top.
e10s ? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
It seems it doesn't support e10s but since e10s is disabled on my profile, I couldn't say if it still properly works despite that.
I hope it will be compliant with future firefox release. I love it. Do you plan to update it?
Love it but icon has disappeared Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I've used Googlebar Lite for many years and love it - admittedly mainly for the text highligher. However, since the Firefox 'clone' Waterfox has updated to 48.0.1 the Gbar Lite icon has disappeared and I cannot find it despite reinstalling. The "Toggle Gbar Lite" button is available but is useless without the main button, and I don't use the toggle feature anyway. HELP!This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Very Useful Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This add-on is incredibly useful and there's nothing else quite like it. For example, it allows searching for individual words on a page just by clicking the word in the toolbar. I've been using it for many years and love it.
Great add-on, when it works. Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I have used this add-on ever since Google dropped their own version. One reason was the search words on the Google toolbar. It still works but with a new 'feature'.
If the word isn't on the page, it creates a drop down menu. Why? What function is that suppose to serve?
saddened Rated 5 out of 5 stars
firstly, thanks for doing this for so long. I read that this is no longer being updated which is a great shame. Mine hasn't worked since 46. Anyone else had this or know how to get it working on 46? Anyone else know of any alternatives that do work on 46? Hoe hard is it to create your own? Its pretty invaluable to me when searching through long webpages for information.
Googlebar lite Rated 1 out of 5 stars
It installs in the add-ons list but nothing works. The toolbar is blank and nothing can be added. The shortcut keys do nothing. Googlebar fixed worked perfectly but Mogrilla decided too many people were using it so they disabled it.
Clickable search words replaced bt drop down menu Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I have used this addon for as long as I can remember. After latest update the clickable search words is replaced bt a drop down menu.
Abandonware? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
The developer quit on this (see his site). Sorry to hear that.
I'd gladly pay for such a search tool, but there is none out there. A potent search tool like Googlebar Lite does not exist. And it itself is unfinished and will die as obsolete/incompatible. Both the original Toolbar and this one free and abandoned.
All it takes is one developer make a search add-on like this for any modern browser, not free, and make them happy all those who do research on the web. They'd pay any price.
Just one developer needed.
Adding custom buttons Rated 4 out of 5 stars
We need a way to add custom buttons or to import custom buttons in .xml format from the original Google Toolbar (from Google, now discontinued) .. Otherwise, while your add on is good and will work in FF43 (when signed add ons are mandatory) I will lose many custom created buttons that I need to use. Many other users would also like this feature. Please try to add it. Thank you. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (126.96.36.199-signed).
Add custom search buttons like we can do with the original GoogleBar ? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
It's possible to create custom search button (like these we can do for the old Google bar) ?
I try to find a way to have the same functionality provided by this toolbar without use it :
- Auto Adding search from the site visited (with its own icon)
- Add / create / Edit custom button search.
- Search the highlighted text by clicking on these buttons
It should be great to use the ready2search site to create our own search button too (http://ready.to/search/make/en_make_plugin.htm#image_ope).

Please make the Startpage HTTPS Privacy Search Engine also available in the sites listing (it's enhanced by/similar to Google but with much more privacy).
