Why was Google Translator for Firefox created?
I made this translator because I missed an add-on which is fast and good enough. I have to say, that I didn't even search for an add-on which is like this.
I just started to read manuals, forums and downloaded some examples from Firefox Develepment Center. I learned the "addon-language" from here in about 2 days.
Then, I started to write an own add-on which was made in about 7 days. That version could do a lot of things, and was very reliable, too.
By the way, I am very happy, when I see people to be happy due to my work. This is why I make a lot of sites, programs and so on...
What's next for Google Translator for Firefox
I've got very positive comments here, and of course some critics, too.
After finally achieving version 2.0 with page translation and hot-key support, the first that I'd like to add to this add-on is user-language checking, option to choose whether the translation should overwrite the original text or not (so displaying it as a tool-tip, or in a very nice box, or at another way).
I would also write something that checks the frequency of used languages (however it will be difficult I think), it would be possible to choose primary and secondary target languages, too.
