It's kinda funny how this addon is about blocking tracking services but at step 2 of the wizard it asks to allow tracking.
Will see how well exactly it works anyway.

"Phoning home" every few minutes raises questions - blocked in hosts file until explained. Otherwise seems to work well for specific sites. Gain extra security by blocking generic trackers in hosts file.

I can recommend ghostery.
The only bad thing about it is the annoying red badge next to the symbol.
Otherwise great piece of code what does exactly what it should.
Edit: Sorry if I made it sound unclear. I like the counter. I meant that the color is a problem. It's bright red and you always notice it.
you can turn the badge off from the advanced tab of the options menu.

Love this addon! It does everything that it says it will do and more! I feel far safer that my information is not being spread all over kingdom come with Ghostery. I have this on all of my devices and wouldn't be with out it!

I've tried most privacy tools, and found that Ghostery is the best. Doesn't seem to slow my low powered PC at all. Keeping my fingers crossed that it remains compatible with PaleMoon though.

It does a great job but it seems to block the verification of ssl certificates sometimes.

I've tried many blockers on many browsers, but the Firefox-Ghostery combination is just brilliant. It works amazingly well and the beauty of it is that it's adjustable "on the fly" without having to delve into Preferences. Highly recommended.

One of the best values I've ever been fortunate enough to stumble upon. I depend upon it daily, and it's been thoroughly easy to use and rock-solid dependable. A bargain in every sense of the word.

Great toos, also works fine with Seamonkey 2.33.1 (German Language pack) Gecko/20100101 Build 20150321194901 (Default Theme) on German WIN7 64bit.
Unfortunately a hint that it works with SM is missing on Ghostery download page.

A good program but I would like it's something to fix / add:
1. We need the ability to synchronize the settings between the firefox plugins are on different computers / devices.
2. The site blocks www.vk.com own widget Vkontakte widgets even if it is set to ignore their own bugs sites.

On the website of the German railway company (Deutsche Bahn) the ticket search doesn't work with Ghostery.
1. Go to http://ps.bahn.de/preissuche/preissuche/psc_start.post?dbkanal_007=L01_S01_D001_KIN0014_sparpreis_button_content_LZ06
2. Click for example on "Start oder Ziel außerhalb Deutschlands" and select a country
3. The form breaks
4. If you enable Omniture in Ghostery, the site is working as expected
So I guess Ghostery needs a new surrogate for Omniture.

If you care about privacy, this is a must-have! Also if you simply want to see who is trying to track you... you will be surprised how much you are being tracked! If that still didn't convince you: The Ghost looks really cute! :)
