Great Addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This addon works great...I would just like to see a couple changes:
1. When editing a substitution group I wish the Substitutions tab was selected by default, rather than the URL tab. I use the Substitutions tab A LOT more, and it's annoying having to always switch to it.
2. More options for sorting through substitutions I've already made. I wish I could sort them alphabetically, and a search box would be amazing. Sometimes I forget if I have made a sub or not, and I have to read through them all, a search function would be so much easier than doing that.
Other than that it works great, surprised how many great features are in this addon. I just hope it gets updated with more soon.
I have taken note of both suggestions. Thank you for your review.

It solved a big problem for me. Please, if possible, put an option to highlight text changed, it would be awsome! ThanksThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.17.1.1-signed.1-let-fixed).

I've been SO sick of seeing all the stupid crap about sucking my dick, and really wanted a solution to my problem. This solved it. I was able to change "sucking my dick" to "sucking my dick" and instead of rage, I now crack up every time I see something about it. I also replaced "Micro$oft Faggots" with "those micro$oft douchebags". I have to tell you, it really is satisfying as all hell. Thank you for giving me a solution for this problem. Believe it or not, this whole Win 10 thing is making me crazy, and even this little thing will make an impact on my stress. :) Thanks! Works great. A little lag, but as to be expected. Could be a lot of fun to use for multiple things, but for now this is all I really needed.
P.S. I can't believe that guy is actually leaving a stupid review about spamming the right click menu. There's only ONE entry there for it, and it's useful. Stop whining.
Also, who the hell is complaining about no documentation? Seriously? This couldn't be easier to use, it doesn't require reading. You would have to be beyond stupid not to understand it by just looking at it & using common sense. It's very intuitive & simple. I'm pretty sure you would have to be illiterate not to understand the basics of using this. Here's a suggestion; just try doing something! See what works. It's not hard to do. It'd take just as much time as you took to write the stupid bad review.
Great but a little broken... Rated 3 out of 5 stars
This works beautifully until you try to make a comment on YouTube or post on Twitter. It causes the insertion point to move around weirdly and is quite frustrating (happens on Windows and Arch Linux). This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.17.1.1-signed.1-let-fixed).
As I said to another reviewer, this only happens if you enable the replace every n seconds option and have some substitution defined for YouTube or Twitter. It will be fixed in the next release, but you can disable that option meanwhile, or don't define substitutions for those sites.
Drumpfinator for Comments Sections? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Hi, this is working great for replacing Drumpfs for me, too—except for the comments sections in places like YouTube.
Is there a settings choice to fix this??? Thanks!
Update: Thanks for the quick response :)
Now comment words are replaced for me, too. The world just got so much nicer/better looking. Great job!
There is the replace every n seconds option, but it has the bug commented by others.
Drumfinator Functionality Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I am liking it so far.
I had issues with it typing backward on Facebook. To fix:
In options, add a New filter with 'Match Case'
After creating filter, Enable
Check 'Auto Replace on Page Load' and 'Replace URLs'
DON'T select 'Auto Replace every X seconds'.
It will be an issue on auto update feeds, but it is still great.!
All the stars.
Would have been great for Trump to Drumpf replacement. Rated 1 out of 5 stars
This add on makes messaging in Facebook type in backwards.
Example: If I tried to type "Hi, how are you?" It would type out as: "?you are how Hi,"
In other words after each completed word is typed, the cursor moves back to the home position.
Otherwise - this extension worked great - for replacing Trump with Drumpf.
This only happens if you enable the replace every n seconds option and have some substitution defined for Facebook or for everywhere.
But the good news is that it will be fixed in the next release.
Remove the context menu entries Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I didn't know something like this existed and it does what I want. However, it adds horrible and long entries to the right click context menus of Firefox! I really don't want them. Provide an option to remove them. This way, I'm looking for a "replacement" to this add-on, one that doesn't spam my right click menus. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.17.1.1-signed.1-let-fixed).
Not quite what I needed. Rated 3 out of 5 stars
would love it if I can choose "inputs only" for form element changes. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.17.1.1-signed.1-let-fixed).

I wish it didn't break other stuff Rated 1 out of 5 stars
This is awesome, but when enabled a bunch of "submit" buttons stop working completely on different websites... had to disable this. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.17.0).
Hi, this shouldn't happen if you don't use HTML in input & output and don't enable the script substitution checkbox. Please create a new issue at https://github.com/Woundorf/foxreplace/issues or write me an email and I'll try to help you avoid the problem.
Smart idea Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Thanks. Smart idea. Autochange for all - it's cool!
会造成启用替换文字页面复制功能异常 Rated 4 out of 5 stars
可以替换页面文字，但是勾选【自动替换每1秒】时会造成鼠标选定复制文字异常，无法正常选择想复制的文字，希望核实修复！FF40。This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.17.0).
OK, but won't work under various conditions Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I've been using this a while, and there are some things I've noticed. One, it doesn't automatically work with Java-based pages, so sites that autoload like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and YouTube won't work on the autoloaded parts, or at all for some sites when going to a new page when you're already on that site.
Secondly, I just noticed that using a proxy totally negates the auto-replace function even when it's on. I was connected to a Japanese proxy and was surprised to find strong profanity on the page even though auto-replace was on.
However, in both these cases, right clicking the page and manually selecting "Replace with substitution list (FoxReplace)" still works.
There's also the fact that to totally remove all variations of words, you need to set up tons of very specific substitutions, because it only substitutes the string you enter. For example, if you set up a substitution for a certain four-letter word starting with "F," replacing it with a blank space, you'll probably see things like "ing," "mothering," "motherer," etc. because it's not removing the rest of the word.
Another thing that may bug you is that it also replaces forms. I set up FoxReplace to change "ising" to "izing" because I'm more familiar with the American spellings of words, but this is obviously too broad a rule, because some such spellings retain the S. So if I submit a form to a website that says "rizing" instead of "rising," I look stupid.
Just be aware of all these things.

The addons is working perfect. The only issue i encountered is that the actual text replace happens 1 second after page load and user can see the old text for a brief second.
Is there a way to fix that and do it quicker?
Thank you for your review. Unfortunately there's no way to avoid that brief second, the substitutions are applied after the page has finished loading.

It works, but it took me a couple hours of pulling my hair out, to figure out that, the replace doesn't work with something as simple as LINE BREAKS in the HTML, unless you specifically change each line break to \n
The Substitutions Replace textbox should detect line breaks in pasted text.
Nice but it doesn't work on all sites Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I use this add on to remove an offending name from the text I read. And it works nice most of the time. But it's quite a bummer that thereś apparently no replacing going on on facebook or 9gag. :(This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.16.1.1-signed).
Hi, this is a known limitation. There's a kind of workaround that is to enable the "Replace every x seconds" option.
