I think Mozilla has done a good job on the nightly versions with the 'allow now' or 'allow and remember' options for the plugins, which will render this add-on unnecessary.

Edit: yo, thanks for the reply, I saw that thing on the permissions tab too. :)

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.3.1-signed).

You my be right, the new permission system looks promising.
But I am thinking about integrating this into my addon to allow the change of these options with a single click to a button, which would also allow these setting per domain.
Because when you clicked "allow and remember", to deactivate this behaviour you would have to open the site information window, find the right tab, etc... ;-)

make sure flashdisable is not enabled before you uninstall this add-on, otherwise flash will be disabled every time firefox starts.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.4.1-signed).

This is a problem with the Addon Manager. I uploaded a new version which uses an other API that should fix the problem: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/flashdisable/versions/
You may have to restart firefox several times (5 in my case) and each time enable Shockwave Flash using the Addon Manager to finally re-enable it.
