NEAT PLUG-IN Rated 4 out of 5 stars
YOUR PLUG IN IS REALLY NEAT. IT GIVES A SENSE OF SECURITY AS YOU ARE GOING AROUND THE WEB. IT IS like BEING ABLE TO SEE WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING. WITHOUT THIS PLUG-IN ONE HAS A SENSE OF UNCERTAINTY AS TO WHERE ONE REALLY IS; HOWEVER, YOUR PLUG IN FIXES THAT.
I must mention ,thought, that websites that go through a proxy may not be identified with their OWN IP or geographic location. I have also seen some websites for which there isn't much info. they seem to be able to restrict access to their ip, location, name of server, etc. BUT OVERALL, YOUR PLUG-IN IS VERY NEAT. THANK YOU!! :) eathisdying.
I like your metaphor, "It is like being able to see where you are driving." However, I should note, that we provide an extra bit of awareness, not security. Phishing servers can be in America just as easily as anywhere else. (though, yeah, if you see "Bank of America" shown as in Nigeria, you might think twice ;)
With respect to a server being proxied, yes, there's no way around that. You'll only see the IP (and Flagfox will only see the location for) the end server that sends you the page, which in that case would be the proxy. You could try using the Whois feature in this instance, as that info is looked up via the DNS registration and not the IP. (for web-based proxies, your URL root is the proxy's, so a Whois will show up for them; just enter the site's domain name in the Whois blank manually)
