great addon; need FF4 support Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This has been one of my favourite extensions since I discovered it. What a pity that zeniko will not be updating it for FF4. :(
Status-4-Evar comes reasonably close when you use the "Fill" setting for Position.

Very usefull and beatiful addon - (requires update to FF4) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This add on is simply great! (specially for those who don't want to have a statusbar). It saves a lot of visualization space by combining both "progress bar" and "mousehover links" at the address bar. Firefox and Googlechrome didn't realize this yet, they still put all that information at the the bottom of the screen which is very distracting, wastes visualization space and also wastes the potential of that really big address bar at the top. The biggest problem: It is NOT compatible with FF4.0. So, please update!

Yet-to-be-released Firefox 4.0 is supposed to get a Fission-like feature---Supposed to is the key word. Mozilla has mucked it all up trying to copy Chrome.

Excellent job. Makes page loading progress far easier to see, especially on a monitor with a high resolution. And to those who are rating it poorly because it's messing up your themes or that it doesn't work with FF4, please read the developer's notes in the "More about this add-on" section of the page. If you want it to work without problems, use a version of Firfox that's not beta with the default theme.

Great addon. Works great, accurate indicator.

Only issue I had was after restoring a profile, Fission said it wasn't compatible with FF 3.6.13 (the same version it was installed and working in) but a reinstall of Fission solved that.

The unique 'only for eye-candy' addon that I let me install with Fx. Really nice.

Status-4-Evar addon works really good supporting the same functionality for Firefox 4.

Always one of my favourites, I had to re-install my whole laptop and lost this one. It goes nicely with the function that tab mix has.

Personally love this addon :)

Excellent job, with every site downloaded i discover that "Fission" is focusing the whole Firefox agenda on the active Tab where the site is downloaded.
One active tab with one more priority given by the progress bar moved from the ambiguous and too general window status bar to the more particular tab's address bar is all i was missing when an update for the mozNetworkPrioritizer 0.3 add on is still far from coming up.
I have now the priority on my active tab restored for as long as the site is downloaded.
And stands in my collection as the first interesting idea imported from Safari.

Broken in FF4.0b6 Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Just a heads up for people who wanna try crl5's modded version for FF4.0b6 below, you'll have to stick with the monochrome progress bar. You'll see no progress bar/connection status if you select the "Progress bar on right" or "connection status on right" of address bar.Mouse over links still work though. Can anyone out there fix this?

Being as curious as I sometimes can be, I've tested the "updated" version for FF4b6 that was posted by crl5 below. I'm pleased to say that it seems to work excellent with no problems whatsoever - at least the default settings which I tested.

It's a very nice and pleasing effect, and I'm fairly disappointed that it hasn't been integrated into FireFox by default; at least as a toggle feature.

Support for Firefox 4.x Rated 5 out of 5 stars

According to the official thread for this addon in Mozillazine support for Firifox 4.x is being dropped.
There won't be any support for Firefox 4.0 as long as there is a slight chance that something Fission-like will be integrated by default (see the current status) which would render Fission obsolete.

Of course, if you want support for a 4.0 Beta or for one of the features that won't make it into Firefox 4.0, feel free to submit patches or to publish a modified version yourself (just linking to it from this thread). Myself, I currently don't have the resources to do any development.
It's a shame really, as the 'Fission like' features referenced to; while offering a 'heads up' progress view, are nothing like fission at all.
