Disable option is missing... Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This version omits the DISABLE and DISABLE FOR THIS SITE features. I now need to go back to Firefox 2.0 so I can use the old version of Firebug.

Firebug is the answer Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I don't know how I'd do my job without Firebug. It's allowed me to have an insight into running Javascript code I've never experienced before. Thank you for creating it!

Firebug has become an essential tool that greatly improves the speed of development as well as debugging of web applications. Thank you!

I love this addon so much.

With localhost development it really speeds up the process. I am building a charting application that sends XML to flash, and I can see the XML content that is returned if the chart does not work right!

Thanks so much for porting this to FF3

Disable Firebug is not there Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This version does not have disable firebug or disable for this site. That feature was pretty useful.

Use it every day Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great extension. I use it almost every day.

I run the #webdev channel on DALnet, and I can’t imagine diagnosing people’s HTML problems without Firebug.

There’s only one caveat: It slows Firefox down a bit. For example, it used to take 2.8 seconds for Firefox 3.0 to start up and load the default homepage – with Firebug, it takes 3.4 seconds.

Indispensable! This has to be one of the best add-ons ever produced for web development. Before firebug, we had to make changes, upload them to the site, see what changed, then do it all over again. Debugging stylesheet problems was incredibly hard. With firebug, you see exactly how the inheritance affects your items and see right in the browser what a tweak will do in realtime. Now if only someone would make something as good for IE...or not...

Simply the best plugin Rated 5 out of 5 stars

When switching versions of firefox this is the plugin it has to work for me to switch.

@J03P: you don't need to disable sites in firebug 1.2, because in this version everything that costs speed (network analysis, etc) is by default not activated. And the DOM tree is constructed only when you click the firebug icon.

@sickearth: it seems that those days, the website getfirebug.com does not resolve (there's no DNS). So as soon as Firefox will search for updates, it will freeze... so until it's fixed, I suggest everyone to turn off the automatic update for extensions (in "options" window, "advanced" icon, in the "update" tab).

Must awesome extension ever. For those trying to disable it for certain sites, you don't need to -- check the getfirebug site for more details.

i don't recommend anyone to install this addons. it will crash your firefox, and it is a know issue listed here
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problematic_extensions

better use IE developer Toolbar. it simpler and lest click to get the same result.

and most of all the one you need to fix is the IE not FF.

How to Disable for sites? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I hate this version!
I cant seem to figure out how to make an exception, and disabling it constantly so it doesn't interfere with gmail is not an option.
I am uninstalling firebug. bah!
