Give me Back the Enable / Disable from the Menu Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Firebug is always my first choice of addon for FF. Since I have upgraded to FF3, I got to install this latest version and I was shocked that I am no longer be able to disable Firebug from the right click menu. Please give me back that simple and marvelous Enable / Disable menu.

Well Rounded Tool Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I haven't run into any issues with this on FF3. I think Robert C. Might have some conflicting applications and add ons installed...

This is a master tool that all web developers should have on hand.

Wow. I can't believe you can't disable Firebug like in the old versions. Leaving it open all of the time makes for a HORRIBLE browsing experience and not being able to disable it (and disable it for specific sites) makes the horrible experience hard to avoid. I wish I had known Firebug would get worse before I switched to FF 3, because I might have held off. Oh well. Here's hoping this issue gets fixed.

I looove this add-on. It is such a life saver whether I'm helping someone else figure out bugs, figuring out my own bugs, or teaching someone the basics of web design, this tool is helpful for all of the above.

Seems to be actually getting worse with each update, unfortunately.

It's a bit of a shame since none of the versions I was comfortable using are compatible with Firefox 3.

My biggest gripe would be how they've seemingly made it a lot harder to disable/enable (especially annoying since this version seems to crash the browser a lot) and it seems to popup on every single Javascript error, which is incredibly irritating on sites I'm just browsing and have no control over.

Given it three stars, it used to be my favourite extension by far, but now it's just an irriating mess.

Hope it gets fixed soon.

I have to agree with a couple other reviews, Enable/Disable was much easier in Firefox 2.x, it seems I have to go through 2-3 steps to completely disable firebug now?

I'd love to see Enable All/Disable All in the contextual menu when you select the firebug icon in the bottom right.

Aside from this issue, Firebug is a must have for any developer, download it now!

1.2.0b3 works, 1.2.0b4 does not Rated 4 out of 5 stars

1.2.0b3 works, 1.2.0b4 does not. So I have the old version installed. The new one doesn't come up when I click the bug.

Also, I think the old disable/enable system was better. However, you _can_ disable Firebug again if you have disabled (some users are complaining that you cannot). Just click on the "Enabled" button on the Firebug menubar. You can then disable stuff.

Don't know how I could live without it. It's definitly THE ULTIMATE tool for web developers. I'm using it all the time.
Because of realtime css-modifications it's also useful for web-designers.

All in all: Very recommended, a must-have.
