Fantastic! very useful. Conflicts; No find-in-tabs button if /find bar/ is installed. Please can this be fixed? or even better - add regex checkbox!

Only if it works... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

0.2.2 is again broken in FF3.0.1. Nothing happens with FiTs selected. 0.2 worked fine. pls fix.

Looks like the problem has been fixed. great job.

Would be better if FiT can be activated by keyboard shortcut.
-----------
great idea but it only works intermittently in FF3.0.1. when it doesn't work, even regular find on the page won't find anything if FiT is selected.

Re: Only if it works...

Hi jsc,

We are aware of a problem with 0.2.2 regarding increasing the size of the search results box. Is your problem related to this? Could you give us some more information regarding the bug you are experiencing. I appreciate your feedback.

Also, if possible, would you mind sending detailed information regarding the bugs you are experiencing via email to ? This way, we can get back to you in a more personal manner. Both Misha and myself promise not to share your email address with anyone.

Expect version 0.3 early next week!

I love it!!! I have been waiting for an extension like this for a long time. Find In Tabs is lean (not bloated like many extensions seem to be), and effective (working flawlessly so far.) It has a simple & versatile interface, too. One feature suggestion would be to have a keyboard shortcut for the "Find in Tabs" button - or at least be able to tab over to the button (from the find input field) and press "space" or "enter" to search in all tabs. By the way, I have 40+ extensions installed and so far Find In Tabs has not conflicted with any of them. :-) Works fine with XUL/Migemo [another extension for the find bar], which automatically keeps "highlight all" selected for normal find bar searches (not in all tabs). Find In Tabs is very useful to me - it is small, yet does exactly what I need - and does it well. I'm very pleased with this add-on. :-)

Keyboard Shortcuts

To activate find in tabs with the keyboard you can:
ctrl+f to activate find.
alt+t to activate find in tabs.

Unfortunately I do not believe it will be possible to have a dedicated keyboard-shortcut for FiT without going through the findbar.

Thanks for your pleasant review. I'm glad you like it.

It works.
It's nice (not pretty, but nice).
No bugs so far.
Been using for close to 2 weeks now.

Certainly can come in handy when you have heavy searches going on.

Re:

The new version (0.2) has a splitter dividing the search results from the main window. I think you'll find that it now has a better appearance

The splitter also allows for the search results to be resized.

Excellent implementation. I can't believe this simple but functional interface hasn't made its way to Firefox...until now.
