Perfect Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Part of the select handful of Firefox extensions that are utterly useful and professionally executed.

Many thanks for resuming support on Pale Moon and other sane browsers. The current Firefox does not deserve this and you only have Mozilla to blame.

This is very good plugin Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Please indicate that will be Firefox 57+ compatibility of FEBE or I look for alternatives.

Sorry, but no compatibility for v57

FEBE is considered a 'legacy' extension and will no longer work with Firefox v57 and above. FEBE cannot be written with the WebExtensions platform that Mozilla has adopted for all extensions. FEBE will still be maintained, but only for Firefox clones (like Pale Moon).

Still not working in Firefox Nightly 57 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I like this add-on when it was working. Because it was such a good add-on but not is a not working in Firefox Nightly 55 and... it is disabled because it is not comparable with e10s.
Please this add-on is disabled.. because it is not compatible with mulltiprocess. Please make this add-on compatible with mulltiprocess... so this add-on can be used. Thank you

Because this extension is considered A "legacy" add-on and will no longer work with Fx after the v57 release, I will not be making any modifications to make it work in Fx. All FEBE releases from now on will only be for Pale Moon and other Fx clones that still support XPCOM and XUL.

FIREFOX FREEZES AND/OR STOPS RESPONDING. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I have NO idea what this thing does in the background when I haven't initiated it. It caused Firefox to "FREEZE" on Facebook, MULTIPLE times every day and to "Stop Responding" on other sites. Usually I got a message "A script has stopped working" and then gave me the name of the script, ending in .js.43 (number varied). The only solution is to exit Firefox and restart it!

I'm sorry, but I for one, don't want something monitoring or gathering MY information while I am not aware of it.

I removed FEBE and Firefox is now back to running reliably.

The only thing FEBE does in the background is run a timer so it can start a scheduled backup when appropriate. It is not "monitoring" or "gathering" any personal information of any kind. If you would like more information or have any questions, please use the support forum;

Cheers. ;-)

NOTE to author - What Are Your Plans? Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This add-on is very important to me, but I can't find any easily accessible statement by the author if he is upgrading FEBE to multiprocess AND WebExtensions compatibility.
Why is this so hard to do?

I'm sorry, but no. FEBE cannot be written using the WebExtensions platform. When Fx v57 comes out, FEBE will no longer be supported except on older ESR versions and forks like Pale Moon.

Völliger Blödsinn Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Funktioniert nicht, hängt sofort bei 2,6 %. und bremst den Fox aus .
Ungenügend !!

How to FIX FEBE if Firefox tells you it's disabled: Rated 5 out of 5 stars

For the past week or so, Firefox has told me the FEBE add-on was disabled. So I fixed it by doing this simple sequence:

1) Remove FEBE from Firefox using your about:addons page.

2) Restart Firefox (important!)

3) Then reinstall FEBE.

4) Restart Firefox to finish add-on installation.

My custom settings were automatically saved/restored when I followed this sequence. I didn't have to do anything, the settings were all right back the way I left them after I reinstalled FEBE. Even if they were, remember that you can use part of a previous FEBE restore to restore your FEBE settings should anything go wrong.

Hope this helps someone!

Quit working on 51b6 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Reinstalled and rebooted machine. Problem disappeared. Magic. Was working on FF51b6 no issues early this am. Signed off, came back 15 minutes later - Tells me the extension is not signed. Disabled it. Couldn't get on your support site - it blocks people who use VPNs. Bummer.
