Awesome Add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very nice add-on. I didn't realize how much information about my internet activity was going to Facebook.

Works well, simple to use, clean UI. (using Firefox 15)

Works Fine Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This works fine so far. I never use Facebook share, so I don't mind blocking it out completely. I hope developer stays onestep ahead of facebook.

Lack of customizability Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Yeah, it works fine for blocking Facebook stuff, but if I want to allow Facebook sharing on certain sites, I have to keep clicking the icon on each sub-site and that's just obnoxious.
A whitelist/blacklist setup needs to be integrated and options to enable/disable the different types of blocking...

Works fine! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Didn't work on (v.16.0a1 (2012-07-15));One hour later the developer wrote me a mail with a bugfix - is this possible? yeah it is! damn great - thank you!

Already fixed!

But waiting on approval from Mozilla. Try version 2.1.2 — and update your review ;-):

FF 14.01 fix Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Yay, no tracking and Likes when I want to Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is great! You could just simply block all third-party cookies to prevent tracking by Facebook. But I encountered serious issues with Facebook widgets on websites. They would simply not function.
With this add-on I can allow Facebook on a per site basis (though blocked by default) and click Like-buttons where I want to! Thank you very much for this add on. Love it

This is really great -- thank you! I HATE HATE HATE FB wanting to share my info with every single marketer via the web (and I am a marketer so I understand just how much info we grab from sites). This makes me much happier to cruise the web now.

thank you for a very effective add-on! I've seen the pop-up once or twice. I agree, it shouldn't stay up on the browser. it would definitely cause confusion. for anyone who is concerned about their privacy, you should also check out ghostery, do not track plus and betterprivacy.

I just wanted to write about two problems I've noticed so far using this add-on. One is that the comments section in yahoo for any articles won't properly load in that I can't see the ratings or rate comments or write comments. Another is that when viewing photo galleries I can't go to the next photo when "facebook disconnect" is on, so I have to allow one facebook request. Other than that, it seems to work well and I don't feel like something's following everything I do on the internet.

Thanks! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love this product - but there is no case where I ever want to let facebook track me. So a feature request - can we hide the little icon?

Excellent add-on! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Checking outbound IP addresses which my firewall was reporting this morning, I discovered one of these, namely 66.220.146.95 belonged to Facebook. That perplexed me no end because I disabled my Facebook account three years ago. So how could they be tracking me?

After installing Facebook Disconnect, I went back to the site which was open at the time the outbound connections were being reported and sure enough, up popped the Facebook tracking blocker. So I'm really glad I installed this add-on now.

As a footnote to the previous review by PaulDieKrake who said that the Facebook tracking blocker should always appear, I disagree with that point of view. It would only cause confusion if it appeared even when no tracking data was being transmitted. It works just fine the way it is now IMHO.

Suggestions Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Please provide a test page on your own home page. It is said that a button shows up but my Firefox hasn't changed.

Additionally, this button should not appear sometimes but always! Greyed out if there aren't any trackers.

Unbelieveable Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Super Addon (and this is my second vote)!!
Easy to use and I am still concerned on how many sites the symbols for Disconnect (I also have the google and twitter) show up.

Good Add-On Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Very nice Add-On!
I really like it, finally getting rid of that annoying facebook-tracking...

Please add a screenshot to this where the icon is shown. I searched endlessly for it until I finally came across a site where it got activated... ;-)

Good call

We added a screenshot of the icon, thanks.

Disconnects me, not Facebook Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This addon seems to disconnect *me* from a lot of content on various web sites. It may disconnect Facebook, I don't know how to verify that but, I know with it enabled, the content (mostly embedded videos) do not work.

Some web sites did not even display as intended with the addon enabled.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1.1.1-signed).

Huh?

Do you have *any* examples of broken pages? Facebook Disconnect just blocks Facebook content on third-party pages. (And the blocking is optional — see the instructions.)

You can submit examples here or email support@disconnect.me.

Preference issues Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It does not remember my preferences when I get off.
