Thank you very much. This just made the "awesomebar" so much more awesome! I estimate this saving me at least a hundred keystrokes a day!

Hide background in Mac Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Altough the addon works as it should, it make the white background in the location bar changes to gray like the surrounds.

The rounded corners stays ok, only the writable part gets a wrong background color.

i was initially worried about installing this add-on (...even though it's not going to break anything and i could just remove it if i didn't like it) because i wasn't sure how it would work if you started typing something and the url you wanted was maybe the second or lower link in the list, would pressing enter still select the first result? i was pleased to find that the add-on does what it says, plus, if you want something lower in the list, you can still arrow down and press enter on the right url. great work!

Very good, but breaks locationbar2 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I love this extension. I actually read about it, forgot about it, and days later came back searching for it because the concept seemed so obvious.

I was somewhat disappointed to find that it doesn't work well with locationbar2... I really like that extension, too.

I install this on every instance of FF3 I get my hands on thus saving buckets of extraneous keystrokes a day.

Great, but... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love this one after three minutes of using it, but it doesn't work with Locationbar². Please try to do something with it, but in all other aspects it's great, it is very useful and you can't get off the habit after a while using it :D

Does what it's supposed to. But if you use keywords for bookmarks, this extension will prevent you from using them.

Show Keywords Add-on

Have you tried this other extension that shows keyword searches in the suggestions?

A practical and a great add-on that makes the locationbar even more useful.

Works great.

Thanks for this. I'd come to believe it wasn't going to be workable. I'm glad I was wrong!

Useful tool who want to save themselves that millisecond pressing "Down" then Enter.

This can take a little used to especially if one is already used to the default behaviour though.

Another really handy extension Ed! Having auto-complete on I am not used to pressing down to select the first result. This allows me to use the smart location bar without having to change my normal type + enter habits.

Beauty. Works like a charm.

I've been wishing out loud in blog comments and fora for exactly this. Now I can shut up.
