very terrible first search result Rated 1 out of 5 stars

this add on does not work. i had to restart firefox and almost lost the video i was trying to save. had to create an account on mozilla to leave a review. had to login, verify email, retype password, set a username and more just to leave this rating. this is why firefox and this addon suck. I will be uninstalling both and using chrome. literally a terrible experince and I almost lost the video i was trying to save because of this terrible addon. how is it that an addon that doesnt work is the top result. get your stuff together mozilla you are becoming worse than internet explorer.

Doesn't work anymore Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Used to work perfectly, now all it does is show a grey icon with arrows. Not able to click it for anything. Seems to not detect either video or flash.

Few issues left Rated 3 out of 5 stars

In case these points were missed:

1. With DTA (3.0.8) integration, on YouTube, the saved filename is always 'videoplayback'.

2. Without DTA integration, on YouTube, upon saving, the download is *not* shown in Firefox's Downloads tab, even if the video *is* downloaded.

3. Can you add support for DTA OneClick? that will download video with DTA without displaying DTA prompt.

Tested on Firefox 45.4 ESR

Thanks for the release of version 2.0.3

Works great--most of the time! Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Been using this addon (v2.02) over the last few weeks. Works great for flash (swf) videos except sometimes it won't recognize a video is available. Tested one site --recognized about 98% of the videos. Cannot see any reason why the other 2% are not detected. Tried different options--no go! Tried "enhanced videos detection"--nope! BTW: This addon will not work at all if adobe shockwave player is installed.

Still not good Rated 2 out of 5 stars

New light theme is better than the previous one, but why dark theme is forcing itself whole the time?

You should make that popup smaller. Make font and margins smaller. Do something in case that the file name\title doesn't fit in the popup window, that I could see it whole. And add tool-tips to that icons for downloading and copying the link.

Replace all red elements with blue ones, maybe an additional option to choose this color besides the dark\light theme. And why it can't detect 1080p and 480 videos? There's still room in the settings lol. Could it also support more download managers?

After clicking on toolbar button it should be pressed and keep it that way while the popup is on. That arrow on the popup should point at the middle of the button not its edge.

Good luck with improving your add-on.

No longer have title of video Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I download videos from mediasite which is a school lecture website. Before the update the downloads included the title in the name automatically. Now it just has a bunch of numbers and letters. Why doesn't this include the video name anymore? I really liked this but now I cant organize the videos easily anymore! ):

please respond!!!!

New update ruined it Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This addon used to be ok. It worked and sometimes was a little difficult to get it to work well. Now it literally does nothing. I have read the replies from the developer and they say within a week or so it will be fixed. So why did you update it without testing it more? Why didn't you just make sure it's fixed before pushing an update for it. It's been over a week and it's worthless.

Useless garbage since update Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It was fantastic with 1.8 but now it does nothing. Just useless. Don't bother installing. You click on it and nothing happens.
Also blocks Gmail links from opening.

Gmail links issue have been fixed already in version 2.01

Regarding the video detection, an already pending version is awaiting approval by Mozilla and should be available within a few days.

Update ruined it Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I used to use this add-on almost every day, but the september 2016 update (where the logo changed) made it so when I used it on the sites I used it on in the past, like toonova, just saves links to .swf files instead of MP4's. It also renames the files to generic text instead of using the header information from the webpage the video was taken from, meaning the stuff it saves now has to be manually renamed. I'll probably end up removing it unless there's a total rollback to the previous version, as links to download previous versions do not work.

Sorry about this..

The naming issue will be addressed in version 2.03 which should be released in less than a week.

Regarding the video detection issues - they have been fixed in version 2.02 which should be available within a few days (once approved by Mozilla).

Thanks..

Links broken in emails Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I also have this issue: links within emails (Gmail, but also other email clients) are broken when this extension is switched on. Switching off Download Flash and Video 2.0 solves the issue. Using Firefox 48.0.2 with Windows 10 version 1607.

I saw the comment that an official fix will be available in a few days: that's great, let's wait for it then :)

(I cant not download via the link provided below, as Firefox blocks the connection as "unsafe", but I can clearly wait for the official fix).

Giving back 5 stars for the good responsiveness of the developer!

Gmail Links broken Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The downloader works fine for videos still after update, but seems to be blocking links from within gmail (possibly others). When opening a link from gmail, gmail opens a fresh tab at a special gmail generated page that then redirects to the link, however flash/video downloader seems to block the redirect. This is a pain since I have to disable the plugin to get Gmail links to work.

Breaks links on some sites Rated 1 out of 5 stars

After an update a couple of days ago I noticed that many links such as links inside of emails or even some links are websites were no longer working. I was able to track this down to this add-on. Disabling it for now.
