Hey!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Please Update!! Not working with FF 51

Quite good extension, but unlike Ctrl+Tab extension, it does not let you switch to the immediately former tab you've focused (as the OSs windows managers usually do), instead it only switches among tabs in incremental sequence, which is a big drawback to me.The visual inteface is neat, but seems a bit slow to me drawing tabs thumbnails.

Yes this is the way to go.. other than Tab Sidebar.. this is very effective.. once you have change the version in the install.rdf file to 3.0.".. this is more my style haha.. thanks for the help guys.. only wish the creator would hurry and change it and add a little more features to spiffy it up.. some time soon

There's a good reason to want to use it Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thanks to the instructions below I have Ctrl Tab Preview working in FF 3.04 just fine. Now why would I want to do this since FF 3 already has a Ctrl tab function that shows the open tabs? I found with this add-on the highlighted tab is bigger and makes it easier to select the one you actually want to go to. The built in function does not and the more tabs I had the harder it was to see which one I wanted to select. I open a lot of tabs and find this useful to navigate them in a preview mode. Still I would like to see the original developer update it for current FF versions so users don't have to manually edit the XPI file to modify the max version value. For WIndows users 7-Zip can open XPI files and from within the file you can edit the install.rdf file easily with your default editor e.g. notepad (it works).

Works with 3.0 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

If you'd like to get this to work with Firefox 3.0, you need to extract the XPI archive (its a ZIP file), and edit the install.rdf file inside.

Change the value within to 3.0.*, and zip it back up. Change the extension from zip to xpi, and drag and drop it into your firefox window.

Por favor una version para el 3 es URGENTE

Useful, But... Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I really like the concept of this extension, and the thing that keeps this from being a 5-star extension in my book is that the thumbnails aren't changing for me right away, If you change web pages in the tabs, and hit F4, it shows the new title, but the old thumbnail. I am using FF3 on Debian/GNU Linux

Still works in FF3 !!

If you have upgraded from FF2 and it's pinked out then
1) install MR Tech Toolkit from here.
2)Restart FF3.
3)Open extension manager and
4)right click on pinked out Ctrl-Tab and select "Make compatible".

Simple and it works. Great extension 5 stars.

Really great, a version for Firefox 3 plz!! =)

Reduced functionality Rated 2 out of 5 stars

As nice as the ability to preview tabs is (even without an animation), this extension fixes the CTRL-TAB behaviour such that it moves only to the next tab in the tab bar, like CTRL-PgDown. I prefer having CTRL-TAB switch tabs in the order that they were last used, like most operating system's ALT-TAB behaviour, to allow CTRL-TABing between two open tabs with ease. I must therefore uninstall, but I will reinstall as soon as I can CTRL-TAB in the order of the last used tab.

Gives and Takes away Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I really like this add on over all, but I have to admit that it takes away a little bit from the visual effect of another Add on I use. If I could change two things, I would first make the Tab scrolling here only function through Ctrl+alt+'something', so that we could continue to go from one to another without having necessarily to look at the menu {this likely isn't a problem for anyone else}. The other thing I might like, is that the tab which you are previewing could light up and let you know which you are looking at. That might be a tad more work when dealing with multiple tabs, but it might be worth it. In any case, no real complaints, Good job.

REALLY COOOOOOL!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I would really like it when it would have a little bit more effects. But even so 10 points.

Works Great FF3b2 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great feature to have. Recommend getting "Nightly Tester Tools" to make this & most themes/add-ons work for FF3

Awesome....but, Rated 4 out of 5 stars

the only thing its missing in my opinion is animation when switch from tab to tab. And maybe some 3D action would be nice too.
One thing, could you make the hotkeys easier to reach?
Why not just customize it?
Under Windows:
C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\\extensions\ctrltabpreview@extensions.hesslow.se\chrome\content\ctrltabpreview.js

Change all references of DOM_VK_TAB to DOM_VK_SPACE (or any other desired character) and then it'll work for Ctrl+Space. Much easier to handle.

All in all -- useful. I customized it so that I dont have to screw up my hand trying to press Ctrl+Shift+Tab to scroll backwards. Ctrl+Shift+Space is much easier.
