A good extension and very useful. However, I found if I use google https search and the addon does not work. Is there a possible way to solve this?

This would be great if it would highlight each word in the search a different colour.

First of all this is very useful addon. Dynamic highlight is nice. But there are some bugs. Sometimes layout of site are broken because of injected span elements (for example try to google something on digg.com). Perhaps css rule "span.ColorResultsClass {display:inline}" will help.
Also it will be good to have an option to highlight a fragment of text directly from the google result with another color and scroll to this fragment automatically.
Excellent idea, five stars. But not perfect implementation. So four stars for now.

Re: onguarde's suggestion, if you do your Google search in quotes, you don't have this problem, though it would be helpful to have an option nonetheless.

Highlight "whole" search queries NOT word by word Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Brilliant addon! Just what I was looking for.
Suggestions:
Have an option to only highlight "whole" search queries instead of word by word. For eg. if I'm finding for the following error, ==> ERROR: There is no agent set up to handle file URLs. Check /etc/makepkg.conf. I don't want the terms "no" "to" bla bla to be highlighted.

Besides, the highlight is only useful when we are zooming in on the set of search terms itself. Rarely do we need to have term by term highlight since we're not searching word for word.
Do Consider!

Not Working Properly... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I find this extension VERY useful. The usability and options are all great. I have a problem with this extension when I use it with the 'DragIt' extension. When I click and drag a link up or down to open it in foreground or background tab, respectively, nothing gets highlighted...I tried changing all the options but still no luck. It works fine if I hold down Ctrl to open the link in a new tab, but not by dragging it.

If this extension could work with the 'DragIt' extension it would be AWESOME! Also, it would be neat if this could work with other search engines too, not just Google.

Link? 3.5? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It is very useful but..
I have ColorResults 3.1
Is there an update?
The www.jochen-baier.de/colorresults-3.0.fx.xpi link does not work for me.
What does the parameter "background indensity" control?

It's Fixed! Thanks! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I really like this add-on. It significantly enhances review of search results.

In 3.0, the options window was so large I couldn't get to the bottom of it to submit changes. However, that's fixed in 3.1, which is, at this writing, still in the sandbox awaiting approval. (You can still download it, but you have to sign in first).

Good job by a very responsive developer. Quick and effective fix.

For now, it gets one star. Fix the options window and I'll upgrade that substantially.
