Wonderful Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Wonderful addon, makes your tabs appealing to the eye and easily recognizable. Lightweight and configurable. (My settings: Generate Colors By Domain Hostname, Fading minimum, Do Not Minify Tabs, Tab Border Radious: 0 (No rounded borders). You can instead keep the defaults, but play a little yourself to find the most appealing to you.)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (29.9).

It is automatically disabled since it hasn’t been signed. I could use a hack of the config but I will not jeopardize the smooth running of my Firefox 44.0. Mozilla has been warning about the signing requirement for months so this should not be a surprise to anyone. It is very disappointing. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (29.9).
ColorfulTabs no longer works with Firefox because of no signing Rated 1 out of 5 stars
It is very disappointing to find that the ColorfulTabs I donated to will no longer work in the current version of Firefox 44.0.0. It is automatically disabled since it hasn’t been signed. I could use a hack of the config but I will not jeopardize the smooth running of my FF. Mozilla has been warning about the signing requirement for months so this should not be a surprise to anyone. Ugly Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I do not like Colorful Tabs. While some people might find it handy to have the different colored tabs, the look is not as elegant as before you install it. Meaning, the tab shapes are boxy rectangles instead of the curvy-shape as is the default. For me, it's ugly and I do not enjoy looking at it. I removed it right away after I saw how unpleasant it looks. It seems like a good idea, but this version of the idea did not work for me. Sorry. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (29.7).
CFT is unsigned, said FF Rated 5 out of 5 stars
With FF 43, CFT is unsigned. Please release the same version like you write on AMO (AMO : 29.7 / for users to download : 29.6 = FF understand nothing more !!!!) Please correct this for next update. Thanks a lot for your addon. It is a must have. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (29.7).
Sorry, but you have to go. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I have really enjoyed your addon. Right up until you started with the shilling for donations. Other addons take you to their addon page when they update their work. I would suggest you do the same. This encourages people to donate far more than your choice. (And yes, I donate to developers)
Your product is very good. Your sales tactics needs help.
If you change your tactics I will be happy to donate.
We do take you to a page where there's a link for changelog and you can see what changed and what's been updated. If you have any specific suggestions feel free to contact me directly and I'll be happy to implement them. Thanks for you review.
Love this addon! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This addon turns a dreary looking Firefox into something nice to look at. Thank you, ColorfulTabs. If only you could spell "colour" correctly it would be perfect ;-)
The "Open tab here" on the sub-menu is really useful too.
Text glow permanently enabled Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Starting with version 28.7, text glow is permanently enabled with no way to turn it off. Reported on Binaryturf Colorfultabs forums three weeks ago. Installed new version 28.9 today, issue still not fixed. Very annoying. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (28.9).
One of my favorite add ons Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Recently had some issues with my tabs displaying vertically on the left side, instead of in rows. Posting on the support forum got me no response. Luckily, I came here today, and thanks to Chris Lockwood, my issue is fixed. Chris, you rock! Thank you so much! Mini mode is not a setting I chose, however, so I'm not sure how it ended up that way. Oh well. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (28.5).
Review Update Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Moonbeam on your support page describes the same problem I'm suffering: vertical tabs rather than multi-row. JNP in a review on the Mozilla Add-on page for your extension provides a resolution but doesn't clearly explain how to get to settings, as I could not find anything in Firefox that uses the term minfy.
Here's his comments: "I then read the update notes about 'fixing' a bug in minify tabs in version 28.3. On a hunch, I went into settings, unchecked the minify tabs box and my tabs returned to aligning themselves horizontally rather than vertically."
Shivanand , thanks for the super-quick reply. It worked after I restarted the browser. For others: to uncheck minify option, right click on any tab, go to the bottom of the menu and click on ColorfulTabs, then remove the check mark from Mini-Mode.
looks pretty, but the cause for all my firefox crashes Rated 1 out of 5 stars
found out after many months of ever more crashes, it was colfultabs (perhaps interfering with another add-ons, dont know)This review is for a previous version of the add-on (28.3).
unzuverlässig Rated 3 out of 5 stars
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (28.3).
Difficulty With Latest Version - A Possible Solution For Vertical Tabs Alignment (Updated With Better Instructions) Rated 4 out of 5 stars
When the latest version came out, CT stacked the tabs, vertically, on top of one another in a row. I couldn't figure out why this was happening and reverted to 28.1. I then read the update notes about "fixing" a bug in minify tabs in version 28.3. On a hunch, I went into colorful tabs/options/styles, unchecked the minify tabs box and my tabs returned to aligning themselves horizontally rather than vertically. So, SS I hope this helps you, and others, I think like Snork, who seem to be suffering from the same problem. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (28.3).

Unhappy with updates! specifically 8/24/15 Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Every time colorful tabs updates my tabs get all messed up and sometimes they even disappear. I love this addon as it makes my tabs easy to see but the updates are killing me. This last update required that I reset to the tabs to the original settings in order for my tabs to display properly. It is a royal pain everytime you roll out an update! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (28.3).
sadly i must uninstall Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Note I give this five stars for past performance. But now with last update Aug 24 2015 I must uninstall. I have many addons and now the tabs are gigantic and wasting space. dont want to go through the trouble of safe mode, disabling the addons half by half, etc. so must say good bye to this very nice addon. bye and thanks it was good while it lasted. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (28.3).

Looks great however one problem it conflicts with the autoclose tab plugin which I need. I tried unticking force strict control to prevent other plugins
if it would co-exist with autoclose tab I would
give it a 5
or at least provide a function to do that in your plugin.

Very nice add-on. Recently placed an auto-loading fund raising page on my browser which never goes away, interferes with and sometimes untracks browser boot-up, and as far as I can find to date is not easy to remove.
Too bad. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone despite its quality as an add on.
Designer and Binary Turf do not respond after weeks of inquiries.
As Mr. Sharma suggests below, I'm moving on. Hopefully this will kill the hijacker, but I'm not confident. These are not "loving" people, and I believe potential users ought to know.
