@Artem S. Tashkinov: Why not carrying the complete profile (folder) to your other system and access it via the -profilemanager switch?

Herzlichen dank! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Всегда мечтал о таком дополнении.

It would be quite good to enter directly color-hex codes.

Pre CSS styling is still not supported Rated 5 out of 5 stars

You promised said support a year ago and you still haven't implemented it. Certain websites on the web cannot be recolored because of this (e.g. iXBT forum).

Also I'd like to export all my websites settings and import them on another PC of mine. How can I do that? Of course, I could find this addon settings in my profile folder but that's a tad tedious and plain wrong.

Thirdly, if possible please integrate CTS settings into Firefox's account sync.

This is a very worthy effort. I wish I has discovered it earlier.
A few minor things I would change:
1) the first two sliders don't do anything until the bottom slider has been changed - so it seems that the bottom slider should be moved to the top position
2) I can't find a way to affect all sites with just one edit. For instance, if I want to just soften the background whiteness level to a more agreeable light gray color. It seems that each site must be modified individually.
3) the multiple swatches of color indicators seem confusing and I don't known which one of the many is the true indicator of the color I'm trying to change.

My browsing experience is much more enjoyable because of this plugin. Thank You. A very worthy effort.

Good on Win, lethal on Lin Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I love this add-on but I've found a nasty problem with it. In windows everything pretty much works as advertised. However I've found in Linux it also most seems to have an explosive memory leak. I've not figured out what the key is to triggering this as on some machines it seems to work fine but on some others under Linux it can chew through 10 gigs of RAM and 100% of your swap in roughly 20 seconds causing a full lock up. The core difference off the top of my head is the machines it seems to work on are all running the generic 3.19 kernel while the machine it goes nuts on is running 3.19 RT/LL kernel.

I hope in time this gets looked at and an import export feature be added.

Hey Michael, thanks for the reply. The problem is when you open the side bar and it starts to analyze the CSS etc of the page you're on. It doesn't happen any other time. As soon as Color That Site starts an edit it chews through 100% of my RAM and I lock up completely.

Dear nPHYN1T3,
this add-on basically has active code on firefox startup and when the add-ons side-bar is open. During normal browsing there's no add-on code running but the user-defined CSS provide the color change. So if the memory leak happens during browsing then there's either a firefox problem with user-defined CSS or a completely different problem source.

There exists already a feature for import export but I admit that it still leaves a lot of room for improvement. (I.e. a feature to import/export all edits at once is missing)

Awesome! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you so much for developing this plugin. I only wish I'd known about it earlier. Running on PaleMoon 25.4.1/Linux. I would gladly pay for this plugin if it wasn't free.

No good in Firefox 28 Mac Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Doesn't work in Firefox 28 Mac. You tinker with the colours…save…reload the page…nothing happens.

great for aesthetic and practical purposes! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I like to play around with personas. It's fun to be able to change the colors of sites I use a lot to color-coordinate with the personas. Also tremendously useful for sites with difficult to read text-background combinations.

Any site, any color you want!

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Doesn't simply do what I wanted it to - change some textboxes whose text and background colors are not both declared in CSS which causes them to be the same color in my system.

Hi Alex,
I have taken measures to also catch some default colors without CSS but it doesn't always work out. Could you please state the site, so I can have a look at it?

will it be compatible with ff 36 and multiprocessing?

Thank you for the review.
As far as I know "Electrolysis" won't be available until the end of 2015 (see: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Electrolysis ). So "multiprocessing" will not be in Firefox 36.
I tested my add-on with a nightly preview (beta) which contains multiprocessing and it basically worked but contained some flaws here and there while editing. I am planning to correct those until multiprocessing is enabled in the release version of firefox.

Fantastic software Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you so much for this addon. I visit some very bright webpages at night and this addon is the only thing that prevents my eyes from burning. Using it is somewhat unintuitive at first but I quickly figured it out thanks to your tutorial video. Yet to experience any memory leak or any other issues that were complained about. Only bad thing is that it is not entirely compatible with some websites (especially some forums, I have to make multiple color profiles for different pages, but not a big deal). It would also be swell if you can add support for the newest version of Pale Moon (25.0.2). I would upgrade but for the moment I am staying with the latest build of 24, your addon is simply too important for me.

Thank you for reading and I'll be more than happy to support your work if you tell me how, however little I can provide

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.15.1-signed.1-signed).

Hi fillerup,
adding compatibility for Pale Moon 25 was (hopefully) easy. I updated the add-on in version 0.16 to be compatible with Pale Moon 25 (32 + 64 bit). I did just basic testing but I hope it runs ok. :-)
Version 0.16 is currently under review it can be downloaded unreviewed from here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/color-that-site/versions/
Or you wait until the review was (hopefully) successful.

This is excellent! It took a few moments to get used to it and figure out (warning, somewhat complex interface) but I managed to dim the bright background and figured out how to modify various components of the site after that. One piece of feeback, is it really needed to have a start button every time you open the toolbar? I was amused the first time but now it's already annoying.. good extension overall though!
