Hi, I send you a email on you @NameBrightPrivacy.com with a translate to pt-BR.

Any site, any color you want!

I sure love this add on!I just wish it was available on other browsers like Chrome and Opera! Any chance of that happening?Thank-you for creating this awesome tool!

Thank you for your review!
At the moment I don't plan to recreate this add-on for Chrom or Opera. Maybe I will release at one time a new, more simple add-on for Firefox & Chrome.

Doesn't simply do what I wanted it to - change some textboxes whose text and background colors are not both declared in CSS which causes them to be the same color in my system.

Hi Alex,
I have taken measures to also catch some default colors without CSS but it doesn't always work out. Could you please state the site, so I can have a look at it?

will it be compatible with ff 36 and multiprocessing?

Thank you for the review.
As far as I know "Electrolysis" won't be available until the end of 2015 (see: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Electrolysis ). So "multiprocessing" will not be in Firefox 36.
I tested my add-on with a nightly preview (beta) which contains multiprocessing and it basically worked but contained some flaws here and there while editing. I am planning to correct those until multiprocessing is enabled in the release version of firefox.

Had to disable it in Firefox 34.0.5 because under Linux with this add-on enabled, scrolling becomes laggy and consumes 100% of CPU on _every_ website, including the ones which don't have any overrides enabled.

Edit: somehow the problem disappeared.

Hi Artem,
sorry to read that. My Add-On should be 100% inactive when its sidebar is not open (except initialisation at browser start). All color edits of my add-on are currently done by User CSS which are used and rendered by the browser.

It could be some incompatibility with another add-on.

Another test would be to disable all color-edits (there's a checkbox in CTS's Sidebar to show all edits at once) and to check if that changes anything.

Fantastic software Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you so much for this addon. I visit some very bright webpages at night and this addon is the only thing that prevents my eyes from burning. Using it is somewhat unintuitive at first but I quickly figured it out thanks to your tutorial video. Yet to experience any memory leak or any other issues that were complained about. Only bad thing is that it is not entirely compatible with some websites (especially some forums, I have to make multiple color profiles for different pages, but not a big deal). It would also be swell if you can add support for the newest version of Pale Moon (25.0.2). I would upgrade but for the moment I am staying with the latest build of 24, your addon is simply too important for me.

Thank you for reading and I'll be more than happy to support your work if you tell me how, however little I can provide

Hi fillerup,
adding compatibility for Pale Moon 25 was (hopefully) easy. I updated the add-on in version 0.16 to be compatible with Pale Moon 25 (32 + 64 bit). I did just basic testing but I hope it runs ok. :-)
Version 0.16 is currently under review it can be downloaded unreviewed from here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/color-that-site/versions/
Or you wait until the review was (hopefully) successful.

This is excellent! It took a few moments to get used to it and figure out (warning, somewhat complex interface) but I managed to dim the bright background and figured out how to modify various components of the site after that. One piece of feeback, is it really needed to have a start button every time you open the toolbar? I was amused the first time but now it's already annoying.. good extension overall though!

Great idea Rated 2 out of 5 stars

But impossible execution. This is, frankly, a mess. Maybe, given all Mr. Donning has built-in, it couldn't be any simpler, but it is hard to use. I couldn't get results at all. Didn't see any DO button. There's a Save command, which i guess saved a small script somewhere, but that was all.
I couldn't even close the darned thing- had to uninstall it to remove the big and inconvenient to even open sidebar.
There are many users with different needs, but i think most folks just want a more powerful version of Mozilla's crude little color picker [Options; Content; Colors].
To developer- maybe you could tweak the code of C.T.S, to build it? Meanwhile, thanks for your hard work, but i'll pass....

Der suniram,
thank you for your criticism. I am aware that CTS may be sometimes too complicated for simple tasks. I was already thinking about something like an "Easy Mode" (or incorporating that into another add on).

The CTS side bar can be closed again by the clicking on the cross at the upper right. Another method is to add the CTS Icon to a tool bar. Clicking the icon will toggle the toolbar open/closed.

To be fair developer does say "On complex sites with many background images this add-on might need much memory while editing."

but trying this on Facebook left Firefox hanging for 5 minutes straight before i just forced quit it. this thing will eat up memory and leave your firefox session unresponsive.

if you are just looking to change the colors of sites you visit, try other add-ons or things like Stylish. this add-on is for harddcore web developers only.

It's a neat tool. What I miss is a generic feature to replace all black text white background with something more pleasant. Unfortunately most website default to this stupid eyesore look.

Seriously, my aging eyes thank you. Sites make terrible font choices and this just saved me a big headache.

This is not working today 11-22-2013. The words "Just a second" appear when you click on the Color That Site icon.

Hi AJ80s,
i tried it over here and no such problem occurs. But I looked into the possible reasons for this effect.

if the problem persists after a browser restart it might be that the database is somehow in error where CTS is saving its color settings. The database is named "ColourThatSite.sqlite" and can be found in the profile folder of Mozilla (see the URL about:support for the locaion of that folder). If you have a recent Backup of that file at hand you could restore that single file while firefox is closed. Perhaps it helps.

I just want to salute you for your brilliant add-on! It deserves standing ovation, man! What an ingenious solution! Thank you for saving my eyes from the blinding whiteness of Google and so many other sites!

Goodbye Google ads! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Google Ads were almost impossible to distinguish from real search results. Now the background is really dark so it's obvious they are ads. Thank you!

Gut, aber Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.15).

Ich kann das Problem hier nicht reproduzieren...

Hallo Simune,

Viele Grüße,
Michael
