Ahh, what a relief! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was just about to get frustrated about how the tabs were damn near impossible to see in ff29, when I found this splendid addon!
I love it!!

Edit: Revisiting this addon, I noticed that what I requested has been included. So now I simply love it. Period. No ifs or buts.

And don't worry, I will never update firefox beyond version 56. I am not stupid. I will not let Mozilla force their crippled WebExtension crap on me. They told me this was MY browser, and I will hold them to it.

As the sun sets for FIrefox, turn to the pale moon. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Classic Theme Restorer has kept Firefox useful. Not just a way to avoid the miserable Australis theme, it adds customization and control well beyond classic FIrefox. Thank you. Best extension ever! I won't use Firefox without it.

Hoping development continues for the PaleMoon Browser. This browser is continues the classic FIrefox features.

Clearly, the intentional distruction of Firefox is nearly complete Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is an excellent addon for Firefox. Unfortunately, now is the time to start looking for a replacement browser as the Firefox developer community continues their intentional destruction of what used to be the best browser for users.

>>> This add-on will stop working when Firefox 57 arrives in November 2017 and Mozilla drops support for XUL / XPCOM / legacy add-ons. It should still work on Firefox 52 ESR until ESR moves to Firefox 59 ESR in 2018 (~Q2).

There is no "please port it" or "please add support for it" this time, because the entire add-on eco system changes and the technology behind this kind of add-on gets dropped without replacement. <<<

In Firefox 52.0 the tabs cannot be rearranged after opening.

Firefox is becoming less and less, the browser for users and user convenience and more and more a browser whose developers dictate what users need based on their self glorified, heightened perception of self importance that is so dominant in narcissistic communities.

Needless to say, the days when Firefox was the best browser ended when they took away the status bar, defaulted the hiding of the address bar, and forced upon users a tabs above address bar design.

After 13 years, It's sad to see you die Firefox.

Most useful Theme of all! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I absolutely love this addon! It has every setting and adjustment anyone could possibly want all in one Theme. I love every feature and use them all. I especially like the text and zoom setting; to fine tune your browser to look just like you want and is best for your eyes. I even have all the colors just like I want them with highlights and color variations right where they're needed. I have never had one problem with it as well. I think it is amazing!

Unfortunately necessary Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I had to install this since the new layout for the auto-complete popup of the location bar was added. (Might have been v48)
This change made me feel using it very unproductive, since it introduced a significant cognitive load to search for the actual address part next to the page title.
For me a vital add-on till the end of XUL support.

Love this add on. Could you please fix the tabs on bottom?

Great addon! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is the addon that made me stick with Firefox after Australis aberration.
Hope the developer finds a way to keep the addon working after Mozilla makes the mistake of moving to Webextesions-only.

You Will Not Dissapear Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love this. You made FF sane again. Without you, FF is nothing. A sap. A poor excuse of a clone. Australis by default is ugly and nobody wanted it. Their "Poll" was biased and it only shows of their negligence towards user-input. I will promote you till the ends of time.

Very impressive work (thanks) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I had always heard of CTR, but never got around to it. It's actually very powerful, and more than just theme-related stuff. Maybe Classic "Feature" Restorer is more apropos. Your work is much appreciated, even in this late hour. Here's to wishing ESR goes on indefinitely (haha).

"gfx.*.azure.backends" should not fall back to "direct2d1.1,cairo,skia" for Fx51.0.1 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have Windows & Fx51.0.1 (latest release version) and just updated to ctr version 1.6.2. Yet the "gfx.*.azure.backends" values were modified from their default values to "direct2d1.1,cairo,skia". These values should only be modified for Fx52, as you claim in the release notes!.
EDIT: Thanks a lot for your fast response. People who have been affected by the modification should manually reset the values for "gfx.content.azure.backends" & "gfx.canvas.azure.backends" in about:config.

Thanks for the info. hotfix will be out soon.

Remove 'Search with...' and 'Visit' items (if present) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Suggestions in the address bar search are not available with this option enabled. I've tried everything but no luck. Could you please fix it?

Take a look (Show CSS), maybe it'll help, this is working flawlessly:

FF 51 x64

OS Linux x64

Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!

Aris, thanks for the reply.

Hope it helps.

What kind of "suggestions" are missing?

Please post before/after screenshots like in my example:

If you are referring to these suggestions, I can ensure you the option removes them too, because that is what the option is supposed to do (remove all "Search with <Google>" items for example):

Edit 2

Your screenshot shows the "additional search suggestions" one can set inside browser preferences. They are still "Search/Search with..." items internally and therefore get correctly removed by that CTR option.

Fantastic Extension! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Saves me from unnecessary frustration everyday..

Can someone clarify how I can move the Close Tabs button to the right? I seemed to have lost the ability to do that.

Thanks for the quick response Aris. You must be a god!

This is an issue with SearchWP add-on. Update to latest CTR beta where the bug is already fixed.

Please use official support channels next time (Mozillazine, Github or email). CTR offers a "Support" button for that on CTRs prefwindow.

Developer of this "Add-on" should be developing firefox Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Why on Earth do I need an add-on to fix stupid decisions by firefox developers. If they would stop trying to make ff look like chrome it would be great. Stop removing features and calling it an upgrade ff devs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remove "search with..." and "visit" greyed out Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The option to remove "search with..." and "visit" on the location bar is greyed out after updating firefox...
I loft how firefox force a search with... drop down item whenever I type in the location bar and they also messed up the order of how I want my addressed displayed. I don't want them search ALL of my history and bookmark and display display them alphabetically, I want to have the addresses displayed in the order of how frequent I visit them! So that the ones I always visit are always on top when I start typing them in... I was able to use classic theme restorer to fix this but I can't anymore after the update... Please please try to fix this so I can restore it to the way it was...

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6.1).

Nothing in CTR can disable or gray out this preference unless some kind of masking tools/add-ons are used, which prevent CTR from detecting the current Firefox version. Please test with "Portable Firefox", if possible.

You can disable history and bookmarks visibility in location bars popup by disabling their correspondent preferences.

Firefox button font color? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Is there any way to change the font color and the border color of the Firefox app button?

What would be the CSS for these items?

Thanks for the reply, any way to do it when the button is on the toolbar?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6.1).

CTR v1.6.1 > CTR prefwindow > Custom css > enable custom css checkbox
Add this code:

/*appbutton on Fx titlebar*/
#titlebar #ctraddon_appbutton2 {
-moz-border-right-colors: red yellow !important;
-moz-border-left-colors: red yellow !important;
-moz-border-bottom-colors: red yellow !important;
#titlebar #ctraddon_appbutton2 > label {
color: blue !important;
