The absolute best bulk downloader available Rated 5 out of 5 stars

There are no other bulk image downloaders that even comes close to BID. The UI does look a bit dated and isn't the prettiest, but functionality wise it's amazing. To all the whiny 1 stars reviews from people who refuse to pay for anything, grow up ! The cost is well worth it if you do any significant amounts of bulk downloading and all of free alternatives are junk in comparison.

I don't think most people really understand just how tricky this is. Most popular websites do not want people using bulk downloading tools (or in some cases even a downloading a single images), so they intentionally try to block them though various javascript tricks and they keep changing their tactics, which requires programs like BID to adapt and it's a never ending battle and no program is able to work with all websites all the time, but BID definitely comes the closest in my experience.

Absolute crap on Facebook! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It only DL'd FB symbols! Seriously? Even w/C&P'ing the FULL URL of the picture section of a FB page, it only DL'd this crap! Pointless!

It truly is a great add on. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I agree about the cost BUT it's great down-loader. I purchased a license almost 2 years ago so my license is old but I still have full use as the same as buying it yesterday and here is how. On their www website look below the green download button for ''older versions'' . Click on it and find a version within your license dates. Install it and then click on the configuration tab and uncheck the box for ''Automatically check for updates'' and click Save Changes. Then you have a down-loader to use for good. I can download 100% of all photos on a page or entire site! Search results as well except the search results from the ''G'' engine. I occasionally ''reset all configuration values'' under BID tab and then uncheck that automatically check for updates box on the configuration tab. I use this add on daily and I'm glad I did purchase it. It works for me and my external hard drives are full and happy!

There are better addons for this which do not require an expensive license.

Appalling Support and Refund Failure Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Following a recent upgrade, I found the programme did not function correctly and sent emails asking for help.
After about two weeks, and using the two email addresses I had for them, I eventually got an email acknowledging receipt of email, but offering no Tech Support.
I complained and asked for a refund on my recently renewed upgrade but was told that, as I do not have a PayPal account, they are unable to refund my money -- Simple Bank Transfers seem to be beyond their capability.
This is not the first time their Technical Support has been completely lacking.
One month on, still no "fix" and still no refund.
My advice is to avoid this company and product.

I have used this for many years having purchased a lifetime subscription. Works very very well until the end of this January.

Great addon that works well Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is NOT a standalon addon. It is a front end for a commercial (but really good value) windows programme, Bulk Image Downloader. This addon integrates BID with firefox and makes it much easier to use. So if you only want free software and don't beleive in paying for function then BID is not for you. But if you believe in good value, low priced and really excellent software that does its job really well, then try bid. I've been a bid user for 5 years and have not found a better picture downloader. This addon makes it even better.

Great Program Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Love this program, saves time and well worth the money. I've had mine for years now and never use anything else. Sadly Firefox updated last week and the addon needs an update, so lets hope the Devs are on the case and its sorted soon.

Great, until Firefox updates Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This isn't a free program.... all those reviews bashing it have no clue what this actually is. This add on allows for a more seemless integration with the PAID PROGRAM and your web browser. If you don't have a legit copy (paid for) of BID, then this add on is useless to you. If you DO have the paid Program, than this add on is practically essential.

Every time Firefucks updates itself, there seems to be a lag of when the BID folks get it working with the new Version. Its been a week or so since Firefox went to "44", so, I am hoping, the BID folks are burning the midnight oil getting the add on working.

Until then, you gotta cut and paste addresses into BID.

a Paid for Program it is not a Scam. However not currently working in Version 44 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Love the program, Yes I paid for it , don't see how it's a scam. Just because Windows 10 seems to be free not everythings gonna be free. Been one of my best purchases. Works in just about any browser so while 44 isn't working I'll have to go to Opera till it's fixed. no Big deal.

Best addon for the best bulk image downloader ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Absolutely Brilliant !!! browser addon (emphasizing on "addon" for BID and not only for mozzila) for the best image downloading software, you can get, really "bang for your bucks".

It is very versatile and saves you for a lot of clicking hassle.

Most of the 1 stared reviews you see, can only be narrowed down to people haven't fully read the description or even looked into what exactly BID is, as this is ONLY a addon for the standalone windows program....And it is NOT adware of any kind !

BID is the best of its kind, so don't be fooled about "other" extensions with similarly description or name, as none other get the job done like this and it have a very good support and continuously development.

It feels so good when you stop banging your head against the wall Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I have really tried for 2 weeks to understand the quirks in this app. There are some sites where it works very well. There are other sites, too many, where the operation is very flakey, or abortive. I have repeatedly been told that it downloaded xx files and go to the folder to find almost anything - thumbnails, banners, all kinds of garbage in addition to, usually but not always, jpegs that I selected. I just finished a round where I got none that I selected even though the pix were listed as downloaded. I have Win 7, 64 bit, just reinstalled in an attempt to get some of my other flakey apps to settle down, but either BID is incompatible or it's a beta version. I'm thinking of making XP a 2nd OS so I can use Reget Pro which has been a trusted app for years, but not with MS new crap OS's, like many other apps which I have depended on for a long time. Thank God Collomb updated " unlocker " to help me defend against those Redmond morons.

No ad-ware at all Rated 5 out of 5 stars

If the previous reviewers took the time to read the description they would have known that this is a free add-on for a paid program! I've used BID for years and its well worth the small price. Don't listen to the illiterate cheap skates that are above me.

Avoid this "add-on" Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Added it because of a stellar recommendation elsewhere but found that it does nothing except pointing to a site for downloading a payware. Worse than even a crippled shareware.

Very fishy most reviews are 5 stars or 1 star. DON'T let them pay more people doing nothing than to put up 5* reviews. You are much better off using these: image download II, save images, down them all, scrapbook plus and my latest fav, image picker.

This is the finest bulk picture downloading app I have ran across. My main reason for being on-line is to collect celebrity and sexy images, and videos. This app is responsible for me having nearly 5 Terabytes of pictures and growing. It can go through over 1,000 pages to gather the pictures that you are after. It has collected 19,000 plus images from one gallery one time. It's well worth the money and I got the lite version years ago at half the $25 cost of the full version. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this app. Works on Crome; Opera and Opera Next; Firefox, Water Fox, Ice Fox; Internet Explorer and also Wyzo browsers. If it doesn't work for you using any of these browsers, chances are that the problem is you and not the software. If it is the software, contact them and they will help you to get it right. Firefox and Chome apps will work on those and their sub browsers like I mentioned. If you don't use these browsers use the Internet explorer download that I download for my Opera browsers. Like I said you probably aren't going to find anything better than BID. It's as close to perfect as I've ever found in 5 years. I should be paying $25 a year instead of forever. Steven M Terry
